I think Denver does Ethiopian food pretty well, and it’s always fun trying new restaurants. Mama Africa Cafe was no different. This is a true gem in Denver and I’m so grateful they opened up because I’ve been hoping for a new Ethiopian restaurant that I haven’t tried. Phenomenal. Absolutely phenomenal. The only complaint about the food I can come up with is that soon, I’ll be finished eating it and there won’t be any more! Absolutely worth the trip and price.
This place is a gem!! Went on a Thursday night for dinner with friends. (Highly recommend going with multiple people so you can maximize how many dishes you try!) We asked our server (Sulaiman, I think?) for his recommendations, and the tibs beef , doro wat, and veggie combo that he chose for us were all superb.
