We had the mama Africa special, and it was soooo delicious!! Their hospitality, flavors, and ambience were outstanding!! 10/10
My first time! We got the lamb tips and the doro wot (spicy chicken and boiled egg) and both were delicious! Everything was flavorful and fresh.
Mama Africa is such a gem! ❤ The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and truly tasted homemade. The whole experience was amazing, and Idiya was so incredibly sweet, welcoming, and attentive. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality the moment you walk in. 🥰

Based on the reviews, Mama Africa Cafe and Restaurant is a small local cafe with a very cozy atmosphere and personal staff. The food was really good, really delicious, and the BEST Ethiopian food. Specific meals mentioned include the firifr, kitfo, chicken tibs, and the Mama’s Plate, all of which were warm, comforting, and flavorful. The Ethiopian coffie was freshly roasted there and an amazing experience. The owner was very nice, lovely, and treated guests like home guests, bending over backwards for food allergies and accommodating large groups with ease. The honey wine is a must-try. Guests will definitely return and will not feel rushed.
