My first brunch visit. I enjoyed the food! They were out of several items but I did get the bento box and a great hotate roll

Had an amazing dinner at OTOTO! Everything from grilled dishes and the dessert was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The staff were so kind and attentive, making the experience even better. The cozy, intimate atmosphere and open kitchen make it feel like a hidden gem in the city. Highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Japanese cuisine!

Tried several pork items, all were very tough, Portions unreasonably small. Sausage was noting more than a cocktail hotdog

This is the place I first began to love Brussel Sprouts!

The crispy sushi and sake flight were perfect!! Cozy atmosphere, great service, priced well.

The food for the price was really mediocre. The ribs were dry and tasteless, and everything else on the happy hour menu followed that same trend.

Food was mediocre and the ribs were very dry and tasted almost old. Not worth the price point.

My wife and I went there for a rare night out. The space itself was cute. A little crowded but nothing terrible. We got Hawaiian spare ribs, agedashi tofu and miso black cod to start. The ribs were ok but the tofu was a bit bland. The cod is one of our favorite dishes at sushi den and while the flavor was ok, they left 10 bones in the fish so we spent most of the time picking out bones. When we told the waitress about this she just replied "that's funny" and that was it. As for service, I also sat with an empty water for about 10 minutes. Our mains were the chicken cashu ramen and the tonkatsu ramen. The chicken cashu wasn't bad but it was about 3 small pieces of chicken and the egg was overcooked. The tonkatsu though was not good. I'm not sure what was in the broth but it didn't taste at all like any tonkatsu we have ever had. The egg was also overcooked there (maybe they do hard boiled in their ramen?) and it also had about 3 or 4 small pieces of pork. Overall, not somewhere we will rush to go back to and a bummer of a rare date night without the kids.

Disappointing experience. Service was solid but the food was incredibly mediocre, particularly the cocktails and main dishes. Typical overpriced slop Denver diners have come to expect.

First time checking this spot out. Far exceeded any expectations we had. My wife and I loved the bar top by the kitchen and were drawn into almost feeling a part of the kitchen while eating the food. Great time, great food, great vibes.

Every aspect of this restaurant is fantastic! I've been to Ototo 3 or 4 times now, and each experience has been exceptional!

Mediocre food and poor service. They cram so many tables together that you're elbow to elbow with people. Will not be going back.

I like the food at Ototo. We have been 3 times. The happy hour sushi sampler is my favorite. Almost anything you order is good, but the wagyu is awful. Just get a Trader Joe’s filet for 6x the meat at the same price. The Wagyu kushiyaki we got was over cooked, cold, and chewy. Just take it off the menu honestly. The servers have always been great, but the seating is horrible. You’re going to be shoulder to shoulder with people, and it’s so loud you won’t be able to have a conversation. Also the food comes out super slow. They have a 1.5 hr soft enforced rule for a 2 top, but it’s going to take 1.5 hrs for your food to come out. We have spent over $200 all three times and left hungry, so this will be the last time we visit.

Wonderful spot for delicious Japanese food. While we’ve been going here for a while, we recently tried their different brunch options, including fresh toast and ube pancakes, which we cannot recommend enough! Staff is always friendly and service is top notch!
