This place is CLOSED!!! I found that out the hard way AFTER I placed my order with door dash and my card was charged! Disgusted. Forty minutes later an update came in that my order was cancelled. Just poor.

Sadly it was probably one worker there. We sat for close to 20 min and was not greeted once. He may have been the cook, waiter, bartender, and dare i say host. Sheesh. Such as shame as we were happy to find a Caribbean restaurant in downtown Denver but never got a hello, a water, a nothing.

Great presentation, flavor & service. It's hidden on 16th st mall but worth the scavenger hunt.

We just came in here for the first time. My husband is a chef from the Caribbean, so my expectations are high. We have eaten at Caribbean restaurants all over, from New York to Jamaica to Miami.I ordered the Coconut Curry Chicken with potato salad and plantain. The chicken was delicious with a nice kick. The plantains were amazing! The potato salad was just potato salad. It tasted really good, and it was just no different than regular potato salad. Everything was on point, though. The presentation was very nice as well. The place has a very nice vibe. Overall, I definitely recommend it. ?

Finally made it to this place for brunch during the time they said they had it and they weren't ready. I was sad. They had 1 waitress trying to hold down the entire restaurant and it sucked because the wait time was just that but really long. The food presentation was nice but my plate particularly had like a teaspoon on Mac n cheese on the side which was disappointing. We ordered bottomless mimosas but could only get one round as they ran out of Brut!?! Once again I was sad. We pretty much ended our outing earlier then planned because of this and the fact that we were still charged for the bottomless mimosas wasn't right. I feel it should just been charged as a regular drink. And we had to take our bills to the waitress as she couldn't come from behind the bar. Don't know that I would go back on a Sunday maybe try another day though....Parking: Good luck

Pros: Great customer service from the bartenders! Unfortunately I don’t remember their names but anytime i come, they’re great.Jerk wings (appetizer)Festival (sometimes it hits, but when it does it HITS.)SalmonJerk chicken mealCons:The mac and cheese tastes like dish soapThe fried plantain doesn’t taste like ripe green plantain to me. Tastes more like a sweet plantain that isn’t ripe. Am not a fanThe “rice and peas” is flavorless coconut rice. It’s soooo bland and white. Don’t do it to yourself.

Came here late night with a few friends since it was one of the few things open past 9. And that it is open past 9 is probably the best thing I can say about this place. My gf and I had the coconut curry chicken, which was fairly bland. Chicken was a little tough. I wouldn't be surprised if the curry came from a jar. Had plaintains and mac and cheese for the sides, which both were actually fairly solid. One of my friends had to wait a fairly long time to get all of his food after other stuff had been brought out, so it's not great service either.

I ordered the oxtails, rice and peas, and plantains. My food was pretty good. The rest of my group complained of the warmth of their food, but the j*** wings were good also...after they finally came out. The place wasn't busy, yet we waited a long time for our food. The experience wasn't the best when it comes to staff attentiveness, but I'd give them another try off of the oxtails alone.

40 min to get our drinks with empty restaurant. Not flavor on the drinks. 2 sides of plantain take 50 min to arrived in our table. Server nice but she look she don’t know what she doing. Good luck.

This place is really good with one fatal flaw. The food had no spice. There's no kick to it. I don't know if this is a way they survive in downtown Denver by not making their food spicy but it was certainly missing something. Another thing is service. We were one of the two tables in the restaurant for dinner and I had to go and remind them a couple items I ordered because they forgot it. Those two factors combined made it 4 stars. We ordered j*** chicken wings, oxtail and goat, all of them were great and melt off the bones. But things are rather sweet and no spice or a kick which was kinda obviously missing and dishes felt incomplete. The cranberry-pineapple drink was satisfactory, I think it was literally a mix of those two juices. The place is kinda hidden upstairs in the shopping centre even though it is right on the 16th street. Generally a good location to walk around after dinner and easy to get to in downtown. I'd still recommend that you check this place out, maybe you should ask for a hot sauce with your order.

Friendly service and good food. I got the Oxtail which was very filling and tasty. My wife got the j*** chicken which she enjoyed as well. Would definitely come back to give other dishes a try!

Really Really Good. This is a local downtown Caribbean restaurant that we ALL should support. $20 unlimited mimosas on Sunday with a live DJ. Great service. The oxtail are cooked and seasoned properly. The j*** wings are delicious! The rice and peas and plantains are served hot and fresh. The curry goat is tender and finger licking good. The escovitch snapper is spicy and worth the wait. This is island flavor done correctly right here on the 16 St. mall. Go!!!! Right Now.

This is my Friday go to spot. I especially love the Curry Goat and Escoveitch Fish.

We were glad to find somewhere different from the rest of the bar food places on the street. The place isn't fancy by any means, but it seemed clean. The music is good selection, but spotty, shutting off for minutes at a time after only one song. The waitress was very nice. The 6 of us ordered 2 orders of oxtail, 2 curried goat, 1 salmon entree, and 1 side of j*** chicken wings. But our orders took so long. We waited for almost an hour and our metered parked was near expiring. So we changed our orders to go. We were all so hungry by the time we got home to eat. But it was a mixed bag. The orchids were a cute touch in each box, and the boxes themselves are sturdy plastic and definitely better than styrofoam. But the food... The oxtail was good, but the pieces were so small as were the servings. And one of the oxtail orders came missing the side of festivals but had rice instead when the order was clarified to have the festivals instead. One curry looked full and the other not so much. The full one was coconut-y, creamy, and spicy according to my mom. She had so much that she could only eat half. I had the one with less and thought it was salty. I had roti with my goat. It it wasn't even edible, it was like trying to chew through a plastic frisbee. I tried a piece of festival and thought it was good. The j*** chicken wings tasted okay, but my brother didn't like that they seemed to have been pre-cooked and just warmed to order. No word on the salmon dish. At least all of us liked the plantains. All in all, most of us thought it wasn't worth the ~$20 price tag and wouldn't recommend.

I am disappointed. The food took around 40 mins to get... we were the only ones in the place. The chicken was frozen and heated up... with fake grill marks... and was it dry. There was no seasoning. Honestly, it tasted like my white grandma trying to make Jamaican. Horrible serve, food and no spice.
