Absolutely the best Ethiopian in Denver metro area. The phone number doesn’t work but YES SHES OPEN we just went last week of September and she waved off the phone not working in a IYKYK sort of wave. She’s amazing - go here and eat.

I don’t write google reviews but I feel it is my duty to share my experience.DO NOT COME HERE!!!!
I live 30 minutes away from Queen of Sheba and the phone does not work so you have to come in person to place the order I guess. I drove the 30 minutes and was so excited to try this restaurant. I pre planned what I was going order so that everything would go as smooth as possible. I enter the restaurant and before I can reach the counter the owner looks me up and down (I was wearing sweats and a hoodie because I was planning on taking the food to go). I asked to place a to go order was she answered “Maybe. I can try.” I have a gluten sensitivity and selected this restaurant because the reviews and menu stated they offer gluten free enjera. When I requested the gf injera she immediately interrupted and said they don’t have that today (which happens at restaurants so sad but no big deal). I said that’s not a problem as I can just give the enjera to my partner that is not gluten free. She said she wouldn’t serve me at all because I’m gluten free. I explained to her that it’s a sensitivity and that I drove 30 minutes to try to food but was met with nothing but hostility. She said I couldn’t be trusted to not eat enjera and maybe if I bring my partner next time then she could trust me. I did start to tear up (I’m hungry and have never been treated with hostility in a restaurant to this degree) and she said “don’t be a comedian” .Take your hard earned money elsewhere. I recommend Nike Ethiopian in Aurora

Delicious! We were excited to try based on rave reviews from our neighbors. We tried the dinner for two to get a wide variety- great portion size, everything was wonderful. The owner takes great pride in her food and remembers everyone. We will be back!

I was so excited to try this food. After driving 30 minutes I was met with the nastiest worker. She was rude and condescending and refused to serve me. I am gluten free, so I asked for bread to be on the side. I was ordering for my boyfriend and myself and he is NOT gluten free. Absolutely do not go here regardless of the other reviews. To spend your hard earned money is a privilege. When you choose to support small businesses and met with this type of customer service….. nope we can do without your food and your business.

Truly a gem. Food was out of this world fantastic. Chicken falls off the bone. Lamb is tender as could be. The lentils and Yatakelt Wott stand out on their own. Split the Queens Dinner for two with a friend and it was more than enough food for each. The amount of flavor in each bite is well worth dining here. The true star of the show is Ms Zebwe. The amount of love and experience she puts into every dish makes you feel like your eating your grandma's cooking.

This is the best Ethiopian and best food overall in Colorado! Zewditu is amazing - she is a one woman operation and does a great job. The gluten free injera is incredible and there are plenty of vegetarian options. This is our favorite place!

This place is truly amazing and we love coming here! The last few weeks we called to make a reservation but it said the number was no longer in service. We hope this place is still in business!

Believe the hype: this place has some fantastic Ethiopian food. The restaurant is small and charming, making for a nice intimate setting for a date night or a night out with friends. The restaurant is a sole proprietorship in which the owner does everything: cooking, waiting tables, etc. As a result, service is not at lightning speed. But who wants that? I'll take excellent food over fast food any day of the week. I got the vegetarian platter for two and found that it was enough food to share. I did not leave hungry. Overall, I would highly recommend Queen of Sheba. It is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants that I have been to.

This was me and my wife's first time having Ethiopian food, and the flavors did not disappoint! The woman that services the restaurant is kind and welcoming and gives you the sense you were dining in her home. We got the dinner for 2 and Ethiopian coffee and we left with full and happy tummies! We will definitely be back!

Come hungry, sit back, relax, and enjoy this one woman show. The food wont be fast but enjoy a cold Ethiopian beer while you wait. Vegetarian here so cannot speak to the meat options but the veg options (lentils, cabbage, collard greens etc) are wonderful. Unsure of the chefs name but she is as funny as she is good at cooking. A special place I love showing my friends and family.

Zewde is open! Unfortunately, her phone isn’t working, so her reservation line isn’t working either. But she’s open for business! We were there tonight, and the food is as delicious as ever. It’s been two years since our last visit, and she still remembers us! She’s an incredible woman, and this place is a must-visit for authentic Ethiopian cuisine.

As if July 18, 2025 their phone number has been changed. The new number is not published yet, but they are still in business. We spoke with the owner. 😀
