mesob Reviews
We’ve been to Mesob Restaurant several times now. It has become our favorite Ethiopian place in Denver. It’s a fairly small place with a bar and 4 or 5 four-tops. The food is delicious. The doro wat is nice and spicy, but not so spicy that that’s all you experience. It is full of flavor. There are plenty of non-spicy items on the menu too. Mesob Ethiopian in Denver is a highly recommended restaurant known for its delicious and authentic Ethiopian food. Visitors consistently praise the quality of the food, highlighting that everything is well-made and flavorful. The injera, a traditional Ethiopian bread, is often described as flawless—soft, springy, slightly sour, and made from 100% teff, which makes it gluten-free and more traditional. The stews and dishes, such as Beef Tibs, Doro Wot, Kika Alicha, Mesir Wot, and the veggie combo platter, are praised for their fresh ingredients, perfect spices, and high quality. The veggie platter, especially, is described as large and packed with flavor, including red lentils, split peas, collard greens, green beans, and cabbage.
The service at Mesob is quick, friendly, and accommodating, with staff willing to provide extra injera and share expertise on how to enjoy the meals. The atmosphere has been updated recently, featuring a beautiful, warm space with low lighting that makes it suitable for relaxed dinners or date nights. The restaurant is open late, making it a convenient choice for late-night meals. Customers appreciate the staff's helpfulness, especially those with special dietary needs like Celiac Disease, as the restaurant is accommodating and attentive.
Overall, Mesob offers a great dining experience with consistently delicious food, friendly service, and a welcoming environment, making it a favorite spot for Ethiopian cuisine in Denver.
