Celebrated my boyfriend's 50th birthday at Rioja and couldn't have been happier with the food, service and atmosphere. It's by far our favorite restaurant in Denver for food & wine.
We love Rioja! We live in NM and traveled to Denver for a food weekend. We haven't eaten at Rioja for several years and it's still ah-mazing! Joe, Jane, Efrain all took great care of us. We liked it so much that we returned the following day for lunch!
I booked a table for two, and once I arrived at the restaurant they wanted to give us the worst table close to the door with a lot of people going inside out through the door. Asked for another table, and they placed us in a sofa which wasn't comfortable for a couple having a date, and then finally after asking again to a different person, they placed us in a very comfortable table. Service, food and drinks were great! I would definitely recommend and will come back. Ask...
