Roaming Buffalo Bar-B-Que is a restaurant that offers delicious BBQ, known for its tender and flavorful meats. The menu includes options such as bison ribs, venison sausage, brisket, pulled pork, and buffalo ribs, all of which have been highly praised by customers. The brisket is smoked for 16 hours at less than 200°, resulting in a tender and melt-in-your-mouth texture. The two-meat plate is a popular choice, allowing customers to try two types of meat in one meal.
The restaurant also offers various sides such as mac n cheese, grits, baked beans, coleslaw, and cilantro lime coleslaw. The homemade potato chips and cilantro lime coleslaw are particularly popular for their explosion of flavors, including red pepper, cilantro, lime, kale, and cabbage. The sides are generous and are enough to share.
Roaming Buffalo Bar-B-Que has catered events and has been praised for its excellent setup and delicious food. The restaurant is known for its kind owners and has been recommended for its brisket, pulled pork, baked beans, and coleslaw. Customers have noted that the beans are among the best ever, with a great variety including jalapeños. The restaurant is located west of DU and north of Dartmouth and Yale, opening at 11 am and usually closing between 2 pm and 4 pm, depending on how fast they run out of food. The banana pudding is also a must-try for dessert, and the smoked turkey breast has received enthusiastic feedback as well.
