I have been coming to the Tavern for many years, and it's always a great experience! The food and drinks were great, and the service friendly and accommodating. Whenever I have friends in town or special celebrations, I always go to the Tavern. I've never been disappointed!
Not so long ago we had a wonderful experience and fabulous burgers at Ship Tavern. We took friends last night promising them a great burger. To begin with, there were very few other people dining there. Our server had to go behind the bar to prepare our cocktails after she waited some time for the bartender. The service was very slow. We got our burgers and noticed there were no pickles, so we asked for some. We were told they did not offer pickles with burgers and had none. We...
I will go again. I am reluctant to complain about anything having only been once. We had the Tavern Burger, Fish and Chip, Tavern Salad, Caesar, and Onion Rings. The only thing that was lacking were the fries and the fish. They were soggy. Probably just needed to be cooked in a hotter fryer, or in a fryer that was up to heat before being dropped. That was the only thing I had issue with. The salads and onion rings were superb, as was the burger.
