This was a very interesting experience, We had high expectations for this tasting menu, but the experience fell short in several ways. We waited approximately 40 minutes past our reservation time to be seated, which immediately set a disappointing tone for the evening especially at this price point. We understand is a big night, being valentines so it's not a huge deal. The scallop course felt disjointed, with flavors that didn't quite work together. The duck rillette itself was fine, but the winter succotash missed the mark and didn't complement the dish. Overall, the first half of the tasting menu lacked cohesion and didn't justify the cost. The steak course was cooked beautifully (credit where it's due) However, it was presented as “wagyu” and we were expecting a low grade American wagyu, but it turned out to be a roughly 4 oz aged NY strip( while delicious I think it was a little bit misleading). The portion size and description felt misleading and underwhelming for a premium tasting menu. The panna cotta was decent, but not memorable. Plating was beautiful. The atmosphere was underwhelming. Views were just okay, cocktails were extremely overpriced for what they were, and the tables were uncomfortably low we had to hunch over to eat, which made the experience physically awkward. For the price being charged, we expected significantly better execution, transparency, and overall value.

I had such high expectations for this evening after reading previous reviews. I'm sadly disappointed in the outcome of this entire experience. The vibes and atmosphere were quite lovely. However, the food was no where near the expectations for the price. The course seamed rushed and you could definitely tell from the way the food was cooked and the food was plated. In the future I mostly certainly will not be back and never recommend this place to anyone that has taste buds. As someone who doesn't drink alcohol they hide their non-alcoholic drinks and took 30 minutes to bring a soda. I was also very displeased with my waiters response to me not drinking. I could see this restaurant as a cool atmosphere to be a bar and not a restaurant serving food to the masses. The largest portions of our entire meal was the soup for the both of us to share and it only came with one spoon. Honestly I'm not quite positive it was even soup.

incredible experience at stellar jay!! went as a group of 4 and the restaurant was amazing. walking in the ambience takes over and you immediately feel transported. our waitress was so kind and extremely accommodating with our table. the food we tried was limited due to time, but the gnocchi and sweet potato was delicious. the restaurant itself was very cleanly and everything was well designed. would recommend to others indefinitely!

Everything was very good except for the wine by the glass options. Those could be improved. Our server was very good and the noise level of the dining room was adequate for talking/listening.

We felt that our meal was very good but very expensive. One of our first courses are appetizer was served without bread and we thought it was excessive to have four pieces of bread for nine dollars. We eat out often and travel extensively. We try different restaurants and different price points. We like good restaurants and good food, but it never is fun to feel like you're a little bit ripped off pricewise.
