We are picky about sushi, and this place is great. The dining room is really comfortable and intimate, the sushi chefs know what they are doing, and everything that we ordered was fresh and nummy. Our server did a great job and the miso soup is especially good.

My husband and I just went here for lunch and were very disappointed. The atmosphere is very appealing but the food was subpar at best. We ordered appetizers and entrees. The shumai, gyoza, shishito peppers, and salad were all average. Nothing special about any of them. The pork belly buns were dry and bland, could definitely use some sauce and seasoning. The entrees were awful! My husband ordered the chicken udon noodles and I ordered the chicken udon soup (which had a very offensive smell). Both were very bland and the noodles and vegetables were overcooked. I asked for chili oil or paste, they only have Sriracha. The soup only had four small slices of chicken. Our server walked out of the restaurant and another lady came to bring our check. She asked if we wanted boxes and I let her know the food was not good. I told her why? She apologized, laughed, and said she would let the cooks know. I told her we would not be returning. The check was $74, she did not offer any type of discount. I tipped $7 and told her I would normally have tipped $20. She just laughed and said, “sorry.”

My family and I came here on New years Eve. The food was great and the service was fantastic. I was impressed considering there were 32 carry out orders picked up while we were waiting for our food. This place is busy for a reason.

Won't come back here again. We were one of just four tables in the entire restaurant with two people waiting on tables. Our food took forever to come out. No one ever checked up on us, never asked how anything was. We ordered four rolls and only got three. Just an annoying experience all together.

Sushi Umi is a hidden gem. With sleek, wood accented booths and large table seating it's perfect for any size party. I was starving when we sat down and we were served quickly. The servers were very helpful with their drink reccomendations. As an appetizer we ordered the Tempura and added shrimp. They pieces were large and well fried, a delicious snack. They have the option to add soft shell crab to this dish as well! For drinks, we ordered their pomegranate Coconut. A drink with a tangy, tart pucker that is soothed by a wave of sweetness with the coconut. I ordered a variety of rolls that came out one one big plate. The stand outs were: The Cowboy roll: Tender beef with a smoky flavor and some tempura inside. "A great surf and turf" choice. The Golden Lobster roll: Crunchy and delicious, this was perfect with a dip of spicy mayo. The Salmon Nigiri: This was the star of the show for me because salmon nigiri is my all time favorite. The quality of the salmon was top notch and everything that I wanted. I would have been happy if this had been the only plate I ordered all night. I was that pleased with it. For dessert we ordered chocolate cake. Rich, thick ganache chocolate in the shape of a cake slice. It was a bit too rich and too thick for me, I feel myself wanted a glass of milk afterward. If you're a chocolate fiend, you will enjoy this dessert. A great spot and a great experience. Hoping to visit Sushi Umi again soon.

They wouldn't let me order the "deluxe sashimi" without tuna; the waitress said it is mostly tuna, so they obviously use the high priced "deluxe" dish to get rid of their cheapest, lowest quality fish. The sashimi I got instead was mediocre quality, same as the service.Wheelchair accessibility: It's accessible.

I really enjoyed the sushi we tried here!! The Rockstar was sooooo good; absolutely getting this again. The spider was delicious and would definitely re-order. The Cowboy was the only one that my husband and I wouldn't reorder again. We had a calamari appetizer, which was very good as well. My mango marg was delicious. Everything was really good until we were done with our food. We sat for a longgg time waiting for the check & had to get back to work. Payment took a long time as well! Our waitress seemed to have left & another person took our payment, so maybe it was shift change (around that time too). But it was odd no one said anything to us. The place is beautiful inside!! It'd be a good date night (we were there for a late date lunch).

Came here with my buddy on a Sunday night. We ordered the bao buns as appetizers. They were underwhelming to say the least. The bao bun felt microwaved as it was rubbery and not smooth or tender. Also the pieces of pork belly were very small. We ordered the one night in Vegas, spicy crunchy roll with octopus and the umi special. The rolls were all very good! Will be coming back.

Came here with family, Reyna was our server and she was excellent. Very knowledgeable about menu items and recommended the sweet potato rolls and they were delectable. Cheesecake was frozen solid, made it hard to eat but other than that we had a wonderful time!
