This is my go-to place for an amazing interpretation of a modern, Mexican menu. The food is exceptional.

Excellent modern take on Mexican cuisine. Would highly recommend and make reservations as limited walk in availability.

We sat upstairs in the outdoor terrace area on a very mild November evening. The food and service were excellent. I enjoyed the chicken with a mole sauce. It was very tasty.

This was my first time at Tamayo. Loved the space and decor. The food was very tasty and savory! The margaritas were good too. The service was a little off for me. The lady that sat us had my head spinning because she was talking in circles. Also, I wasn't super thrilled with our server. She was hard to understand and rather awkward with our table. I asked if the Tampiqueña came with rice and beans. She said no, so I ordered a side of it, which never came but managed to make it on our bill. She did take it off after I pointed it out. As good as it was, it wasn't super original or mind blowing. I feel like I can get a similar meal in Denver at about 4 other trendy Mexican restaurants. They're a dime a dozen in Denver! Wish there were more Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, Lebanese, or Israeli places in this town for sure! Every time a new restaurant pops up, it's yet another take on Mexican!

Really enjoyed our evening - we've been dining at Tamayo for the better part of 3 decades. We don't live in Denver, but we travel often. Ingrid took really good care of us - we will always return !

The food and drinks were excellent! Our server was distracted and inattentive. We were prepared to order another round of drinks, but after our glasses sat empty until after our meals were done with no staff stopping by or even making eye contact, we opted to skip a second round and dessert. No real harm on our end, but certainly an avoidable loss of sales for Tamayo. We will be back to give them another shot because it may have just been an off day. If the service is better next time we will probably spend a lot more money!

Went for the Bottomless Brunch. Left very full with delicious food. Amazing service. Met the bar manager Brien who let us try out some drinks off another menu. We would've came back for dinner but Denver wore us out lol... We are from Delaware and will definitely visit again when we get a chance.

Fabulous specialty cocktails on the menu! Guacamole and salsa were great and the 2 different enchiladas were amazing!

We always enjoy going to Tamayo. They have a great menu that has options that you won't get at a traditional Mexican restaurant along with some of the classics. Service is very good and we like the atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Went there on Sunday for dinner. Atmosphere and vibes are great but food was horrible. At least for vegetarians.
Our server was very cunning and not attentive at all.

My best friend and I came to have bottomless brunch on a Sunday and this was nothing short of an amazing experience! Sean was our server and he was amazing and kind! He did an amazing job at explaining every item on the menu and the service was phenomenal. Our favorite dish was the Churro French Toast, it was so amazing! 10/10 recommend!
