The 99er is more than a women’s sports bar, it is an experience.
We visited after Denver Summit’s inaugural home match, and the energy was incredible. The space was packed, but in the best possible way. It felt less like a crowd and more like a community coming together to celebrate women’s sports.
As someone who deeply values spaces that center inclusivity and belonging, this one hit. Seeing so many people gathered, cheering, connecting, and simply enjoying the moment created an atmosphere that felt genuinely special.
The vibe was welcoming, joyful, and full of life. It was one of those rare places where you walk in and immediately feel like you’re part of something bigger. It honestly felt like a group hug.
If you care about women’s sports, community, or just being in a space that feels good to be in, this is a place you should experience.

I was SO thrilled to check out this bar and that they were offering a free shuttle to the Denver Summit FC game! My party of 3 showed up and went to check in at the bar for our wristbands and maybe a drink. The place was busy so we were happy to wait, however we were next in line and I made eye contact with the bartender who gave me a nod as if they were going to help us next, yet the bartender then proceeded to help three other groups who approached the bar long after we had. Once they finally helped us they barely looked at us and did not ask us if we wanted any beverages or if they could help like they did with any other party we saw them serve. It is mostly just a bummer as a queer group of female-bodied people so excited to be in what should have been a welcoming space to be completely disregarded. Don't think we will be coming back.

My daughter and I were visiting Denver for her soccer games and wanted to catch the 2nd half of the CU women's basketball team's conference final. Lo and behold it was on 2 of their large screens. Tall bartender was so welcoming and fun. Wished I'd asked their name! We Ordered in from the greek place next door. Dream come true to go into a sports bar and not have to beg for a women's game to be put on, OR to have to settle for it being reluctantly shown on the smallest t v. We'll be back for wnba and nwsl games!
