Love this place! It has creative and delicious cocktails, and a fun vibe including a little old TV playing retro movies on VHS. All of the spirits are house made and we had a lot of fun trying a flight of some gins and whiskeys. Our bartender, Danny was super knowledgeable and helpful in helping us pick or drinks. Will definitely be back!
Frank mixed us some phenomenal seasonal cocktails (hellhound, Dorian grey, the Fall of Man). Perfectly mixed and the flavors were incredible. I was most impressed with the Rye and 4 Grain bonded whiskeys, but the whole flight was excellent. We will be back soon (despite getting SEVERAL to go coffee cocktails and bottles).
Best distillery in the state. From fantastic innovations bar side to delectable take home bottles. This is a must stop for anyone that claims to be an aficionado and a must stop for those who just enjoy fun and flavor. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable of the product and procedures. Great location in the RINO area with other activities a short walk away.
Maja provided stellar service, superb hospitality. Will be returning!
Staff is the best in the biz and they know how to make fantastic drinks.
I really, really, wanted to like this place. Craft distilleries are something I love, and was hoping I'd be picking up a new bottle to add to the collection. Sadly the whiskey just didn't live up. It was very grain forward, what you might call crafty. Notes were more funky and a little odd, with not a lot of sweat flavors or even the more herbal one's you might get from a rye. Some of the drinks looked good, but they use flavored tonics without really pointing it out, and my wife couldn't finish her G&T she disliked the combination of flavors. Still, a fun atmosphere, and a cool place that just didn't quite hit the mark.
Always incredible spot to drop into while in RiNo. Fantastic drinks thoughtfully made, rarely overcrowded.
Walked in sat at the bar for 10 minutes bar tender wouldn't even talk to us. 5 other people there...dont bother
I'm a big fan of gin, and they make an incredible negroni! Seriously, one of the best! I bought one of their dry gins and saw that they have a pour room in Rino. Gave them a chance and it didn't disappoint. The pour room is rough yet inviting and the staff was amazing!
Unfortunately I can't really drink hard liquor anymore. But if I could, I would wet my whistle here. This family-owned business makes great cocktails in a warm environment. Highly recommend.

Do you have STRONG OPINIONS about COCKTAILS? Block Distilling makes most of their spirits in house and has a seasonal rotation of Gin, if that's your favorite spirit. They also have a fantastic, complex cocktail menu that updates every three months. If you're a "Whisky and coke" kind of drinker, you'll find something you like. If you -really- like cocktails though, you'll find something innovative and unusual and probably have some analysis paralysis deciding what to get. Good stuff. Recommended. š
Funny little distillery with great selection of unique cocktails ! Banana bread at work drink was solid !
This review is for the morning coffee. I know itās new but they were missing very basic things like lids? Sleeves? Drip coffee?! The barista didnāt seem to know how to make the most basic drinks. Took 20 mins for two lattes. They were friendly but they have some kinks to work out.
I remember this place in its glory days. Last year I went to their year anniversary party, chatted up the awesome bartenders, the friendly distiller, bought oysters from the vendor, shopped from lots of the artists in the market. But I was made so uncomfortable by one of the owners, the women kept giving me the oddest looks, Iād go so far as to say āstaring daggers at meā, that I just ended up leaving. As a LONG time customers I feel insulted as if I didnāt spend lots of money, time and as a small business owner myself refer plenty of my customers to The Block. In addition to buying The Block products at local liquor stores. Even going so far as to bring major liquor distributor friends in to check the place out.
Their cocktails are awesome. I had the French Girl and the Old Fashioned, both are excellent. Places like this make it so easy to support your local business.
