The Delectable Egg-Dine-In & Takeout

While visiting downtown Denver I was on a hunt for a good cornbeef hash for breakfast on a sunny Sunday morning and found this place just waking distance from my hotel. Got here and was immediately seated and welcomed by my waiter. Service was excellent and my food arrived quickly. I asked for extra because I needed the extra protein. Food arrived fast and tasted really really good. Food prices here are very reasonable and Food quality is excellent. Definitely a place i will visit again for breakfast. So if you in downtown Denver and looking for a nice breakfast I would recommend this spot. The restaurant if offering huge variety of breakfast dishes so you will sure find something you like. If you’re ever in Denver this is the place to go. I got the Denver omelette and it was great. Service was friendly. Has an older breakfast diner feeling and it’s perfect. I would recommend to anyone!

Food was ok. The hash browns tasted like they were dehydrated or frozen. My crepes were too sweet even though they were supposed to be savory.

I order DoorDash from this place and I’ve never had a messed up order, not even once! The only thing I’d recommend is to please allow us to make a substitution for the house potatoes/hashbrowns for fruit or maybe an extra egg or allow us to say no hashbrowns/house potatoes bc while they’re delicious, it’s nice to be able to say no!

Another recommendation is to also allow us to skip the meat portion if we chose to.

We had a really great breakfast at The Delectable Egg while visiting downtown Denver. I came with my husband, two kids, and my parents, and it ended up being a perfect spot for a group like ours—relaxed, family-friendly, and easy to enjoy without feeling rushed.

I split an omelette with my mom, which turned out to be a great call. It was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and didn’t leave us feeling overly stuffed. I also sampled the French toast, and honestly, it was even better than I expected—crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and not overly sweet.

The service really stood out, too. Our server was kind, attentive, and just overall great to interact with—friendly without being overly chatty and always on top of what we needed.

It’s easy to see why this place is so popular. Everything was fresh, the portions were just right, and it had that welcoming vibe that makes you want to come back. We’d absolutely return the next time we’re in Denver.

Patricia Pilar was excellent and I loved being offered coffee to go after finishing my meal! I have never been to a restaurant that does that!

Got a sample of the gravy for the biscuits and gravy. Smelled like burnt hair and plastic. Ordered toast bacon and over hard eggs(2). I got scrambled eggs white toast and 3 pieces of good bacon.
