We had “face coverings” that complied with the law and wanted to watch some nfl. But because we didn’t have “masks with ear straps” the bar tender wouldn’t let us sit down(even though everyone in the building didn’t have a mask on). I want to support local businesses, but dude come on, have some common sense and let us move from the entrance to the table! We had face coverings! In Response:We were just trying to get to the table from the entrance. I haven’t read anywhere that either out of comfort or convenience a mask can’t be secured with your hand. I’m not sure how the ear straps stop the spread. Obviously, your restaurant definition is different than ours, it’s your establishment you can do as you please. But our “face coverings” were in compliance with what the state requires, at the minimum at least for the short transition to the table or restroom at least. Our noses an mouth were completely covered and cloth was secured to our faces.

Ate yesterday at the Elm. A small sports bar with charm. They have a reduced menu at the moment. Had the wings (really good), burger (on a nice bun), Buffalo Chicken Salad (it was the boom), and cup of green chili (could have been warmer but tasty). Order a side of tots but they came still cold in the middle. The blue moon from tap was crisp and refreshing. All in all, a good meal. May recommend others looking to watch their fav sport game and chow down.

Trying to support local businesses, understand no more Monday burger night specials but please could you have at least cooked my burger a bit more when I ordered it medium? Seriously was terrible cooking and when I complained about it nothing was said or done. Am done with the Elm until their kitchen improves.

Great tavern style pub and eatery. I've always enjoyed the food. Decent local craft beer selection and some classic yellow beer cans (Hams, Style, PBR) Good prices. Nice bar area, plenty of indoor seating and an outdoor patio perfect for people watching on Colfax...and lots to watch ??

Love coming here for Pats, Sox, Bruins, and Celtics games. Have also come here for a couple CU games. Always plenty of good beers on tap, and wicked good bar food. Outdoor seating area is a great place to watch games as well.

Deco Miami Beach meets Denver Ski resort. Fun, festive, friendly are three words that genuinely describe The Elm. The food is gourmet, well presented, top notch service and priced for us with champagne tastes and beer bottle pockets. I can honestly say it is one of Aurora/Denver's best kept secrets. If everyone in the Denver metro area knew that there was a Friday, $7 gourmet Fish and Chips special and $4 dollar happy hour wine and craft beer special the lines would be out the door. The 4 stars instead of the 5 is because the clash between deco and ski resort is incomplete. If the waiters would just have black t-shirts and or baseball hats with their logo on it instead of street wear, and the music was a bit jazzy verses everything, the theme would be complete. Despite all that go, go, go to The Elm!
