Used to enjoy the location in Cherry Creek but after that one closed, never tried this owing to lots of competition in the downtown area and not usually going to, essentially, gastropub/sports bar places. For this night however, it was worth trying prior to a Nuggets game and pleased that we did. The food and service were as good as in the past after moving from a high-top on the main aisle and having some beer spilled on me (not the runners fault, two females bumped into him). For dinner, with apps, entrees and beverages, high-tops just aren't for us. Next time will be sure and put that on the reservation. And there will be a next time, it was very good, fairly priced and portioned and great location.
I love The Thirsty Lion! It is my go-to when I have an 'occasion dinner' or when I have a visitor from out of town because it is so easily accessible to Union Station, public transit, and the rideshare stations.
Stopped by Thirsty Lion on the way to the game and was really impressed. The food was great, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for a pregame bite. Definitely recommend!
We enjoyed a yummy brunch with friends before a Bronco game. the breakfast tacos, french toast and fried chicken and waffles were very good. Our server was Jordan and he was very friendly and attentive.
We go to Thirsty Lion before AVs games. Everyone is exceptionally friendly and the food is yummy! Mauricio is an awesome server and Julie is too!
Mauricio gave my friend and I one of the best waitstaff experiences I've had at Thirsty Lion. Friendly and attentive on a very busy night. This restaurant is my pre-game go-to. Great energy, great Happy Hour and great food.
The place was packed and super busy due to a hockey game and a concert at the same time in downtown Denver. Even though we showed up over half an hour earlier than our reservation time they got us seated and served in a short amount of time. The food was great but the noise level was really high. Just part of the experience.
Brunch is great at the Thirsty Lion. It’s the only thing I’ve ever had here. But it is really good. I enjoy my time there and I enjoy my time there. Great place for people watching and just having a good time.

Great service, easy pickup for red rocks bus. Great chicken vendors. About the best ones you can get. Get before 6 pm for happy hour. They have to go bags for the bus to red rocks
