We did a modified version of the omakase tasting (somakase) and it was outstanding. One person in our party has a soy & dairy allergy, so our server, Kelly, checked with the kitchen and they created a custom tasting for our table that was allergy friendly. Each dish was presented and confirmed to be allergy safe, the service was fabulous. Stand outs included the shishito peppers, pork belly and hot rock. All the sushi was delicious and very fresh. This was my third happy hour experience and as before, it was wonderful. We let our server, a delightful and cool guy wearing beautiful Navajo jewelry, order for us, and we got a delicious assortment of fresh fish prepared in interesting ways, as well as amazing crispy rice and a unique beef tartare. The value T happy hour is fantastic and if you go early it is uncrowded and peaceful. I love this place!
I’ve been to the Austin, Houston, and Denver locations many times and I’ve never had anything less than a 5 star experience. The fish is always the freshest in the city, the creativity always impresses, and you won’t find better service. Also their happy hour is the best value in the city by a mile. Thank you Uchi for always impressing my friends and family when they come to town. I will be a fan for years to come.
