I liked this restaurant. It had a good atmosphere. I didn't get any "weird owner" vibes like other reviewers. We went on a Saturday night and the place was packed. We really enjoyed the acorn fondue and decided to start making a variation of this at home. It's a great idea! We also took the recommendation of others and had the mushroom pizza, which was really delicious. They had a good wine list, but no decanters. If you have bottles in the $100 range, it would be good to have a few around. Otherwise, I'd go back for the pizza and a glass of wine any day!

From the pizzas, to the warm roasted vedetable salad, to the lamb ragu hummus bowl, everything was delicious & beautifully presented. Our server, Kai, was very pleasant, attentive, and made our dinner a great experience.

The service and atmosphere were great (5/5). The food was not. We ordered Brussel sprouts, guacamole, and the sausage pizza. Everything was too salty. If there were flavors, they were masked by the amount of salt thrown on. Could honestly say that a domino’s pizza is 10 times better. Would not recommend if you’re a foodie cause the prices are a little high (typicalFor Durango) and the food lacks flavors.

We had a pizza and an appetizer. Food was great. Watched the bar tenders work their art. Great experience!

I have been to Chimayo several times and their food is always top notch. Everything I've had is good and last night was no different. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon and it was great. My friend had a sandwich and it looked great as well. My friend and I stayed late and the staff were accommodating. However, part of the reason we stayed so late was because the service was extremely slow. We ordered an appetizer and it took forever for it to come out. It was nearly cold when it came to the table. The food came out in a reasonable time but it took an hour for the gal to come and ask about desserts, and then much later for her to bring the ticket. The main course was the only thing that seemed to come out on time. I was rather irritated most of the night with the service being soooooo extremely slow. When the server was there, she was competent. But it seems that we were not a priority last night or she kept forgetting about us, or she had too many tables. Not sure which is was. I expect better but will not hesitate to come back as last night's service was unusual for Chimayo.

Service and atmosphere are amazing. Food and cocktails are super amazing. We were all really surprised how good the cocktails were. Pizza has such a good flavor (sauce). We are in Durango for 5 days and talking about coming back during the trip.

Great meal with family. Tasty, great service.Vegetarian options: Relatively few vegetarian options but good. I had a vegetarian option, though I wouldn’t usually. It was very good.Kid-friendliness: Kids did great, it’s perhaps more an adults intended venue but kids were made welcome.

We hadn't made a reservation when we came through, so we decide to sit at the bar rather than wait for a table. Great cocktails and the pizza was amazing! We got to see the amazing kitchen team at work with the stone fired oven, so impressed. We ordered the cornbread as an appetizer and went to heaven!!!!!! Hands down the best corn bread I've ever had! Would go again and eat just that!

The fish in the fish tacos was very dry and had little flavor. The rice was over seasoned with Saffron. My son said his pizza was good, my granddaughter said her burger was good. Pretty pricey place.

Food was spectacular, I had the Sea Bass which was cooked to perfection. My lovely wife had the 14 oz Ribeye, that was also cooked to a perfect medium. Also, you could see the vanilla bean seeds in the creme brulee which shows that it was legit as well. Desirae was our server and was amazing and on point. Thanks Chimayo for a wonderful evening... we'll be back.

My mother and I embarked on the first night of our mini-vacation at this charming spot. The directive to leave when advised was met with precision. The service surpassed expectations, and the cuisine was nothing short of divine. Despite lacking a reservation, I strongly recommend securing one. Seated at the chef's bar, we marveled at the meticulous work of each chef, evident in their focused dedication. The drinks were unparalleled – a pear mule for my mother and a toasted coconut and vanilla daiquiri for me. Opting for the stuffed poblano chili, we delighted in the Parmesan Alfredo from the kids' menu for my three-year-old. Our dessert, a rustic pie with ice cream, crowned the evening. Not a single complaint surfaced; here, value aligns with the cost. Without hesitation, I would revisit should my travels bring me back to the area.
