I had a lovely full-service day at Mountain Monk and Tranquilo today. The fresh and beautiful avocado toast was on delicate whole grain bread (how do you do that?). House made kimchi with just-right tang accompanied. My red rooibos latte, earthy and herby, gave a lingering lift.
I then took to the garden, daubing and plunging off and on for two hours. Without request the owner brought me water and oh so fragrant icy cloths a couple over times over the experience.
I’m still floating.
Had a rude experience with the owner. Read a prior review stating a similar experience. Glad for the healthy food though. MM- Please do not respond to this comment. I just would like it to be said.
Wonderful spot with healthy food that tastes great! The staff is friendly. We own the Luxx Lodge next store and love sending our guests across the street.

The courtyard and overall vibe is an exquisite sanctuary for chatting and laptopping alike. Also, great concert venue and lovely owner!

Mountain Monk is a vibe all on its own. Collective environment, organic, yummy drinks and food, community, yoga, and all the wellness goodness.
I was in search of a quiet, cozy coffee shop in Taos in which to work without too much overstimulation. This is the place and so much more! 💚

The highly rated reviews are accurate. The coffee is prepared with utmost care; the gluten free snacks were some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Customer service and effective people skills are important to me! This quaint pitstop is one of the highlights of my trip to Taos. Please keep up the amazing work! 🙏🏻

The garden was great to sit in and eat. It was a bit of a wait for food but it was well worth it. The eggs were creamy and fluffy and topped with fresh greens. Coffee could be a bit stronger. Friendly staff.
The sauna is the cherry on top! What a treat to have this in our community.

The wood burning sauna and cold plunge was a delight! The sandwich, soup, and cacao was a delight! The humans were a delight!
I’m so grateful I stopped by—I didn’t realize my cafe visit would unfold into hours of nourishment in the garden going between sauna, cold plunge, and sitting in the grass.

Cute shop, with decent coffee. Service was incredibly slow, prices are high, and the food was basically inedible.
I was not going to leave a review because I recognize that this place is just not designed for me (I like gluten). However, I paid with my credit card and from that, they somehow got my email and are now sending me hippie spam.

This coffee shop and the barista, Jonathan, provided the regeneration I needed Friday morning right after getting some expensive news on my car.
The atmosphere, that turquoise blue, was calming. The apricot scone was a first for me and scrumptious. Jonathan and I bonded over our shared spiritual understandings.
Thanks for a great restart to my last day in Taos.

I’ve never had a better cup of black coffee. The shop is welcoming and cute. Even cool on a warm day. Best spot to stop for a coffee on the way into town. Grab a bag to enjoy at home!
