We stayed at the Rochester for an anniversary getaway and cannot recommend it enough. The staff was beyond helpful and welcoming. The hotel bar had fantastic cocktails. The room was lovely, it felt cozy and modern. The location of the hotel is perfect! We were close enough to walk everywhere, but still not loud or disruptive. Can’t wait to return!

Passing through on our way to Utah and decided to stay the night at this hotel. Lovely space, the aesthetics, quiet, comfortable, modern and clean. Only regret is not being able to stay longer to explore.
Rooms: We booked a double queen and the space was adorable. Perfectly minimalistic. Love the wood floors and tile in the bathroom. Beds are comfortable and room was clean.

We would have loved to have a coffee maker in the room for convenience but not a game changer.

We embraced the self-serve aspect of the hotel. There is no front desk, so you are given an access code to get in the building and a separate code for your room. They do have a quaint bar that is open from 5pm to 9pm . The service is good and so are the drinks. They have a nice outdoor seating area when the weather is nice. The room and bathroom were good-sized and clean. The TV was very small and needs to be upgraded. We liked that the hotel is downtown and within walking distance of a lot of restaurants and bars.
The Rochester is an absolute best decision you’ll make when it comes to staying the night in Durango. The attention to detail is spot on, from the bar to the soap in the room they make sure you feel like royalty while staying at The Rochester. Can’t wait until next year!

The Rochester is our special getaway. They have done an excellent job recreating the magic of the historical building. Everything from the colors to the soaps, the staff, the bar, and the location is fantastic. I cannot recommend this place more. It provides a calm and tranquil space for us to take a break from our busy lives. The staff was fun and ensured we had everything we needed for an excellent stay. Looking forward to our next visit! Rooms: Our room was absolutely amazing, with a luxurious king size bed, and a fantastic bathroom. Plus, it was spotlessly clean! It was just perfect!
Nearby activities: We love to enjoy the outdoors, but we also like to explore historic downtown. Rochester is conveniently located for all the activities we want to do. The bike shop is close by for our shuttle to pick us up for our bike tours, and the river is right down the road.
Walkability: Our neighborhood has a fantastic grocery store nearby, along with some amazing bars and delicious restaurants, all within walking distance.
