The rooms were exactly what we needed and we loved sitting in the garden space in the evening. It was an easy walk to the shops or out to the trails and the service was so welcoming and friendly! Wish we could have stayed longer!

The Rochester Hotel is a beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect Durango location, close to everything but still quiet and relaxed. The rooms are lovely, the beds are very comfortable, and the bathrooms are especially nice. The common areas have a lot of character, including a very cool little bar and stylish spaces to sit and relax.
The staff were wonderful, and the freshly baked continental breakfast was delicious. The outdoor area is also beautiful and gives the whole place a special feel.
A couple of practical notes: there is no elevator, so you may need to carry luggage upstairs, and the window air conditioning units are a bit noisy and not especially strong. Other than that, it was an amazing stay. I would absolutely recommend it.

I had yet another wonderful stay during my trip this week to Durango. This is the only hotel I stay at in Durango and love the second floor rooms. The hotel is quiet, clean and the check in process is seamless. They offer a light breakfast and coffee each morning and a great cocktail bar atmosphere in the evening. Highly recommend the Barbra Streisand cocktail! Can’t wait to return this Fall for another stay at this charming boutique hotel.
