“I fell in love with this place immediately, the empanadas were fresh, hot, and flavorful, made me feel like I was right by the beach where I first had my first empanada. I was very impressed by their flavors and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to bring the beach side home.these were by far the the most flavorful empanadas I’ve had. They definitely made me feel like I was right back in south beach Florida enjoying them by the waves. Highly recommend! Staff was also very friendly :)“

“Absolutely amazing! The prices were reasonable, and the burger and empanada were EXACTLY what I had been looking for. The empanada could have been slightly better, as it was clear from the sogginess on the bottom it had been sitting in the display for a while, but the flavores completely made up for it. The burger was extremely well spiced, super salty and delicious! Would highly recommend!“

“I have been a customer of Maria Empanada for over a decade, since its original location on Morrison Rd. The food at Maria Empanada is amazing!!!…as long as it is fresh. There continues to be inconsistencies with their quality. Often if you go early in the day, you will purchase day old food and the difference is quite noticeable. Today was no exception. I got medialunas and they were disappointingly stale and the empanadas more toasted aka from yesterday. This is my go to and i wish it was consistently good.“

“Pretty decent empanadas for an ok price on the 16th Street Mall. There's a lot of choices, which can make it hard to pick, but they are all pretty yummy, especially after a quick blast in the oven. They are more on the small side for empanadas, which is fine I guess“
