We live in Texas and it’s hard to compare Mexican food but Kalaka has great Latin flare on their food. Eclectic and delicious! The margaritas were amazing! I did a flight of house margarita, hibiscus, and watermelon spicy. My husband got a spicy Michelada! Amazing!
The best part was the outgoing personality of Karina and her love for her job and making you feel important and helped us on what to order. She’s a gem!

Ordered take out for me and my family. When I arrived to pick it up it turns out they gave my order to someone else! They didn't communicate this to me right a way as most decent places would, but instead had me standing there for over 20 minutes. Finally a server told me what happened and that the were making my food again.
In this time, never was offered a glass of water or drink while I waited for them to correct their mistake. Being a local restaurant I try my best to frequent this place, but after this Im not sure I will.
Once the food was finally brought out I got a quick sorry from the server who gave it to me. Nothing from the manager. Overall this ended up being a very disappointing experience.

Being from Houston I was a little nervous about eating Mexican food in the mountains of Denver. Man was I wrong. Place was amazing. Service exceptional. Food was well worth it. Definitely will revisit when back in town. By the way, my name is Carlos.

Great food! A little slow on service, but seemed a little understaffed. Despite this they took good care of us as time permitted. Would recommend to others and will go back again.

Had a great meal here--loved it! Great place to stop on way from Denver airport to mountain towns. It's right off the interstate, about 45 minutes from the airport. Food was awesome! Had the guac, queso, birria tacos, and mole enchiladas. Best mole I've ever had, and everything was really good. Service and atmosphere were great also. Highly recommend!
Parking: Plenty of parking.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly, has a good kids' menu. Our son had steak tacos--they were excellent.

Great place with great drinks and tacos. Worth the stop for anyone passing through. Evergreen needs more Mexican places like this!
Dietary restrictions: I can’t do spice and they were happy to modify their items and they were amazing! Much more enjoyable and tasteful for me without the sweat 😅

Over priced tacos, unauthentic, didn’t come with salsa . customer service sucked even though it wasn’t busy at all and almost forgot my drink.
I was quite excited to try this place after moving to the area, but I think I had my expectations too high.
We ordered drinks which were delivered quickly, but everything was unfortunately pretty slow, respectively. The chips and salsa was fire, the horchata was amazing, and the barbacoa tacos slapped, but both my and my wives birria tacos were mostly fat, like a ridiculous amount of fat.
Maybe it was a slow service night, or we just got unlucky but I can't say I'd recommend this spot.

We were super excited to try this place. We got seated and ordered fairly quickly. It then took forever to get our food. We waited over an hour for our entrees. There were maybe only 4 other seated tables in the place. My husband and I ordered the birria tacos, and when they finally came, they were 85% fat and very little meat. We were sorely disappointed in this place.

We went for my birthday lunch inspired by a Facebook Reel by Denver foodie. They were short staffed with no manager in sight. The host seemed like it was his first day and the server had the entire restaurant which consisted of about 8-10 tables. The worst part that neither the host nor the server explained that they were short staffed. Fellow guests and I just looked around trying to figure out what was going on. It really took away from the dining experience I was hoping for. The server was deep in the weeds. The host helped by taking our drink order, but it took a long time to get our order taken. Also, other tables that sat after us got their order taken first. The food was excellent, but communication would have been nice. Oh, and…we paid in cash. The waitress returned saying we had shorted her $20. My partner apologized and paid that immediately. However, when we got home realized we were short a $20 bill! What?! This makes me want to take a photo of the book holding our check and payment next time we go out to eat. Maybe I will try the other location next time. The food really was bomb and so was the horchata.

We stopped here for the first time today, after hearing about it a couple of months back on TikTok. We tried several different things on the menu including the trashcan nachos, chicken mole enchiladas, birria tacos, chicken flautas and street tacos. Everything was delicious and looked great! Prices were pretty decent too. We'll definitely be back!
