Terrible WiFi in room. Lights need the card to be turned on…was not told at desk. I was informed later after being charged an additional 50 for fees… that is was operator error. Appalling. Terrible customer service.
Nathan was absolutely fantastic. We came in late for just a few finger foods and drinks and he took exceptional care of us. I would highly recommend stopping at the Fortezza!! Love this place!!
Amazing experience at Fortezza Italiana. Beet salad was to die for. Gelato hit the spot! And Mack took such great care of us!!! Whatever she is getting paid- not enough😉
Had a great time here with the family. Kids wanted to spend lots of time in the pool and slides. Also close to many things to do, reasonable price, and room was new and spacious. Room probably could have used a couch or something as it was very large but unfilled. The TV also could pivot and was hard to view, but those 2 things are minor and overall we will be back.
Beautiful resort with amazing service!!!!
Daughter’s Graduation from the Air Force Academy. We selected Flying Horse after prior visits were very enjoyable with fantastic service in the main dining room.
Our 5:30 pm reservation for the graduation grew from 10 adults to 12 adults/4 children more than the main dining room would accommodate so we were referred to private events. We were pleased to have the reservation and the process went smoothly.
The room was prepared as expected and I checked in and reviewed the pace of the evening with the events manager and the server. I did tell them they could serve through any speeches. It took about 15 minutes before a drink order was taken, over 30 minutes for less than 8 drinks delivered on an early evening reservation.
No Sommelier or server offered an option to order wine for the table. I had to get up, find the menu and select in the middle of my graduation speech to my daughter as I did not want to delay preparing for the main course and service was already becoming uncomfortable.
The first course (pre ordered) took 40 minutes after arriving to be served. Far after the time I had requested. No communication. Second course was served and was fine.
Things fell apart service wise from there. I am not sure if the server forgot where seat one was, but delivered two plates one to the wrong person, she then disappeared for a bit then brought the same steak back to what I thought seat one would be. Now cold. Then just two more plates arrived. Then we waited again After waiting for 4-5 minutes, I told the first of 4 of 12 adult guests to begin eating even though sides (pre ordered) had not been delivered at that point either.
At that point I asked the server to ask her team for assistance in delivering the food as there was no communication about the delay. No manager to facilitate or address the delays. Five minutes later the remaining mains arrived with two thirds of the sides each brought two at a time, spaced apart as if the food runners were not able to assist with a tray carry with a set of sides to the table. Then we waited more for the potatoes to arrive with still no communication as to the delay.
The wine service was equal what I would get a low budget restaurant. An all purpose glass for a Cabernet, no tasting offered. No check back.
The service was severely delayed, neglected, and clumsy…keep in mind there is a 25% automatic gratuity. I pay for great service. This was not.
Service and timing severely effected the dinner in creating many awkward moments with my guests of not knowing if they should start their mains when no one else had them or sit their and watch them get cold. There were no sides for them to enjoy with their main dish which was unfortunate. I had to ask the server to please ask her team for assistance to facilitate dinner, other than someone coming to refill water, this did not happen.
You pay a premium here. You expect good food, timely service, communication, professionalism, and a management team that follows up. I would not recommend Flying House for private events based on this experience. They gave the party to an inexperienced server and provided no support, yet did not hesitate to charge.
There was no check in or follow up at the end of the meal. Payment had been made for food prior to visit. No bill was presented for beverage.
Disappointing.
By the way, it was upsetting enough write this at 2:40 am after being up nearly 24 hours for the days event.
Great stay here my family thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. Ate dinner at The Flying Horse Steakhouse and clubhouse. Every dish was amazing! That's not a hyperbole. Nothing to complain about. The service was the best I have ever had at any place in 37 years.
Great spot, Patty is awesome and the restaurants are all top Knotch.
I visit Colorado Springs 4+ times per year and normally stay at the Broadmoor hotel which I HIGHLY recommend, but this time I wanted to try something new so we chose this hotel. Rooms are updated clean and well appointed. The lady who checked us in was excellent. The steak house as an excellent staff and the food was perfection. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience at the breakfast buffet. The Staff was disrespectful and condescending, ignored my requests, our waiter rolled her eyes at me when I asked for a small to go container for 7year old daughters food to go since she wasn’t hungry yet and we needed to hit the road (half a pancake and 2 sausages max). Then they antagonized me at the buffet & accused me of trying to stock up on food and trying to sneak it out when neither me or my wife took anything too go. (The food was not that good btw). We paid full price for the buffet and all my wife ate was 2 hard boiled eggs. After putting my daughters half pancake and sausage in the container my wife and daughter left to get ready to go while I finished breakfast. I was still eating so I went up to get 2 slices of bacon and the manger approached me to tell me I can’t unless I eat it there lol… When I didn’t even have a to go container with me nor at my table. I just wanted to have 2 more slices of bacon before I left. I was literally putting it on my plate to eat it. I feel odd and petty even telling this story but this is how odd and petty and off putting the interaction was. There were 4 people in the entire restaurant. Classic example of the wait staff at “luxury” hotel thinking they are better than the guest they serve. Anti-hospitality. On the way I gave them back the fistful of food they were so upset about and took my daughter somewhere else for breakfast. I still left a 20% tip since I still believe that class matters. But I’ll never come back to this hotel. Back to the Broadmoor for me.
Great time, Patty the Manager at the front was great, great restaurant.

We spent one night at this location and found it to be a refreshing retreat from the more tourist-oriented portion of Colorado Springs, but very accessible from the highway.
Beautiful venue! Very friendly and helpful employees.
Absolutely beautiful golf courses with views of the mountains. The fitness and spa facilities are also nice, smaller compared to some resorts but they meet the need. The tennis courts are nice but can be VERY windy with East to West and West to East winds. The staff is friendly and professional.
We were very disappointed w the schedule for the resteraunts n having them close early n w o room service. The steak house is so overpriced n they would not cook us a cheeseburger after 4pm?? We had to order door dash from a food place outside of this location which to us was ridiculous!!
The Golf Course & Dining are indeed second to none! Exceptional!!!
