Agave Underground

A shout out to Agave Underground at the Foothills Mall! My husband and I went there for the first time tonight and the atmosphere is lovely and fun, the employees are personable and welcoming (and funny!), and the food and drinks are absolutely incredible! Saturday is karaoke night and it was such a fun experience. We will definitely make it a regular place to eat.

Drinks were top tier, food was wonderful, the atmosphere is fantastic, and overall just a solid experience.

Terrible service. No wonder nobody was there for lunch. Staff could care less that you are there. Took 20 minutes to get any type of service.

Went in with hubby yesterday after catching a movie at Cinemark. Loved the bright, colorful decor. The employees were super friendly and attentive, the food was delicious, and the drinks were unique and tasty. Will definitely be back!

Im really struggling with this review because I want this business to be successful and thought they maybe they had just opened. The Yucatán/Oaxaca inspired menu looked great incredibly promising. The space is modern and fun. But something is really extremely off. The bar and kitchen staff cannot seem to support the menu. The staff was literally running but could not keep up. There was no front of house manager on the floor. Our party of two (2) showed up at 6:30pm on Friday and was immediately sat. They dont take reservations or answer the phone. It took 20 minutes to be greeted by our waiter. Another 20 to receive drinks. Our single appetizer of queso came 60 minutes after arrival and our entrees (3 tacos and 2 enchiladas came a full 90 minutes after arrival. Simply put, you cannot be 10 steps from a movie theater and have delivery times slower than fine dining. Additionally my fish tacos came RAW. After a 90 minute wait for a taco the fish was dangerously undercooked. I witnessed multiple tables frustrated by the same experience. Sadly, it’s a no. I wish it wasn’t so. I wanted this concept to work so bad. Truly awful by all standards. I felt bad for my waiter who was trying SO hard. Scale down. Try again. Might be worst restaurant experience ever.

Beta was our bartender and she was FABULOUS. She is so personable. We will come back for sure!!

Beta is amazing but sassy she served as well. We totally like her will come back because of her.

Our server Veyra was awesome. Took the time to Explain food items and how to make it!! Awesomeness!!!

Table side guac and salsa samplers?? Yes please! Food and drinks both shined in this modern yet authentic Mexican cantina. Try everything, but if you have to choose I am partial to the Molcajete. Veyra was a splendid server. I will be back as soon as possible.

Great atmosphere for dinner with a group of friends! Delicious margarita selection, and the guacamole was out of this world. We had a great server Veyra who had some excellent recommendations for dishes. Looking forward to dining here again!
