Stopped in for late lunch early dinner around 4 p.m. Seated quickly. Ordered one grilled chicken burrito and one barbacoa. Food came timely. After we got our food the server NEVER came back, never even looked our way. I know this because we watched her roll silverware and chit chat with the bartender who was sitting at the bar talking with a customer and watching TV the whole time. Would have liked some salt and pepper that wasnt on the table, a drink refresh and sour cream. Never got a chance to ask for it. Burritos were ok not nothing spectacular. Green chili was weirdly watery. Other than lettuce, Pico and a spoon of guacamole, nothing on the plate. Our seat had holes and cracks in it with some duct tape repairs (very classy). The bathroom was kind of gross. Really expected better, this being a newer restaurant in this particular shopping area.

Well, while I wanted to leave a great review, we didn't get the chance. We went in on a Saturday evening to try something new. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't make the cut- when we went in, we were seated, and waited quite awhile for a server to come to our table. By the time she came by she rushed through the process and we didn't even get to order our drinks before she told us she would give us more time with the menu.... Well, when she came back I explained to her that this had been our first time ever in and I wasn't sure about the menu items, she didn't seem to want to explain anything to us before she told us she would come back yet again. Then when I asked if they could create a burrito bowl for me as I am not able to eat tortillas anymore, she told me No, I'm sorry, we don't do that and ran off again. Still no drinks. Highly bummed out, and a bit discouraged because had been so excited to try this beautiful restaurant, we got up and left. If I could recommend anything it would be to give some leaway when people request burrito bowls. I was so bummed

The food was amazing! I really liked the happy hour deals! The service was a lil slow but once you get the food, it was definitely worth it!
The queso cheese in the stone bowl is very cool. Ill be back for sure!

I found a hair in my food and told the waitress. She brought it to her manager and the manager walked back to my table with the hair and told me that it matched my color. I think it was rude to accuse me of planting my own hair and also weird that they were passing the hair I found in my food around.
The service was really slow and Im very sure that the dish I received did not match what I ordered. I ordered the Pulpo a las Brazas and instead of a guava salad, I got a dressing-less chopped salad that looked like the bags you get from the grocery store... This use to be one of my favorite places to go that we would use a celebratory destination :( I think we will need to find somewhere else

Please do not give this restaurant your money. It was very difficult to getting someone on the phone to get a reservation, I actually had to go in person. But my friends really wanted to try it so I did. I made a reservation for February 8. I confirmed earlier this week I showed up just now and there’s a sign on the door saying they are closed today no call no text. They seem to always be empty, and now I know why.

Everything I have tried here is delicious! The service is fast and friendly, and I love the atmosphere. A definite must for Mexican food in Fort Collins!

This was our first time at this restaurant, and the interior reminded us a lot of Bar Louie ex ept some pained walls and ceiling decorations. The menu was so wore out I could not read it and had to ask for a menu that was legible. The seating was worn out, with cracks in the booths. The table height was so high it came up to my chest, and I honestly felt like a kid sitting at an oversized table. They served a complimentary soup but didn’t provide any spoons. Service was very slow, and it looked like the bartender was also the waitress—and possibly even the cook. The bar back didn't speak English so she wasn't very helpful.
The menu descriptions didn’t match what arrived. I ordered a scallop dish that made no mention of peppers, yet it was loaded with them and I left hungry due to my dislike of peppers. It did have 6 large scallops that were cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the Agave Deluxe basically a pork burrito - it lacked flavor and had no spice. His cucumber margarita was tiny, cost $15, and had no noticeable tequila. A glass of Modelo was $5.
The music felt oddly childish for the atmosphere, and overall, I’m not sure we’ll be returning.

Agave Underground was such a great experience! The service was fantastic, the enchiladas were amazing (especially the sauce!) and the atmosphere made the whole meal even better. Portions were generous, we left full and happy, and overall just had a really great time. Can’t wait to go back!

If you’re looking for an authentic Mexican dining experience, this is your go-to spot. This is the kind of restaurant where you can truly enjoy your meal without being rushed out the door—something you really appreciate if you’ve traveled outside the U.S.
Don’t be discouraged by reviews mentioning slow service. Instead, come here when you have the time to relax, enjoy the food, and savor the company you’re with. That’s the whole point of a great meal.
The food is incredible and genuinely takes you back to Mexico. The pozole is my personal favorite—it brings back childhood memories of my grandmother making it at home. But honestly, everything on the menu is amazing. They also have a great selection of tequila and some fantastic mezcal options (my favorite!).

Outstanding food and drinks. We happened to be served by the owner who shared some history of the meals with us. Very nice gentleman. They have karaoke on Saturdays but we've not been able to make it yet.

This is the greasiest, slimiest food I think we've ever had at a sit-down restaurant. We ordered 7 tacos and were given 8, (given several kinds we didn't order and not given one that we did order). My son ordered the kids meal burrito. Everything was drenched in grease- the tortillas were literally soggy. Even my 8 year old said he thought the burrito was too greasy and didn't want to come back. Honestly, I don't even know if the meat was actually good, because all you could taste was grease. The real chef's kiss was my son finding a hair in his food.
The waitress was very nice and the restaurant itself had a cool vibe, but the meal was disappointing to say the least. My husband and sons used the bathroom before we left and said it was a disaster. Maybe if it had been a busy/late night that would have been understandable, but we were there before 6 pm and only a few other groups were even at the restaurant. Cannot recommend and will not be going back.

I must say the fish taco that I of ordered and ate is worthy of a 5-star rating. That specific item was absolutely delicious. The $5 happy hour margarita was pretty good also. The bartender serving me was very friendly however not very attentive. The tres leches dessert was disappointing to say the least. The presentation looked amazing! The dessert itself was not good. I had two bites and left it to be discarded. I was surprised and put off when I wasn't offered a different dessert possibly or a comp for the item on my bill. I did not ask for a comp but it's generally customary in this situation from my previous experiences elsewhere. I'll try them again, I just don't know how soon that will be?
