“Also emailed to corporate 5/18/26: I wanted to take a moment to recognize an employee named Chauncey, who was working as the cashier during my recent visit to Five Guys.
While I was eating, I witnessed a really beautiful example of patience and customer care. An older woman came to the counter to place her order and was moving very slowly as she got her cash out of her wallet. It took quite a while, but Chauncey never once appeared impatient or annoyed. He simply waited with complete professionalism, kindness, and respect.
What stood out to me even more was what happened after her food was ready. Chauncey started to bring her order to her, then noticed she was struggling with the drink machine. He set her food at her table and went over to help her. I believe he may have even carried her drink back for her as well.
It was one of those small moments that says a lot about a person. Chauncey went above and beyond in a quiet, respectful way, and I really hope this message can be shared with his management team. He represented Five Guys beautifully, and I wanted to make sure someone knew.

Came here after a disappointing experience at a different chain, and was pleasantly surprised by a friendly crew that was literally dancing to music while they cooked. Yeah, it's overpriced, but the burgers are good and the shakes are great and you leave full on fries.“
