This place is just wonderful. The gelato, of course, is delicious, but it is the home of the best Italian food in Fort Collins. Take it at home and heat it up. Eat it there. Enjoy it. Ciao!

Best gelato and italian food in town but more importantly Paul the owner is an incredible guy and just the type of neighborhood business owner that makes Fort Collins so special. Thank you Paul!

The gelato was icy. It needs to be smoother and that's what the server should be doing is constantly smoothing it before she puts it into the bowl or cup. Same with the gelato way too icy

Their food is very yummy. Just a long wait for the food. Only outdoor patio seating is available. Totally worth the wait.

Ordered a gelato with two scoops of different flavors. The server even allowed us to try some flavors before deciding on the final ones.

First time customer, turned last time customer. Had heard good things, so finally decided to try this place, since it's close to home.
Well, I can't give a food rating, because I didn't get to try the food.
You see, I ordered a sandwich to go. I patiently waited 20 minutes, before going back inside to ask about my sandwich. The lady said she'd check and offered me gelato or a coffee while I waited. No thanks. After 10 more minutes and no sandwich, I went back inside and asked for a refund. No explanation about what happened.
I wasted a half an hour of my life for nothing on this place. I won't be back.

Absolutely amazing! The best pizza I've ever had. I've traveled the United States and originally from Atlanta and I have never had pizza this good. I have eaten breakfast, lunch and dinner here since yesterday. I left here in disbelief that I found the best pizza in the world. I've contacted some friends about it to let them know. I'm now telling everyone this is the best pizza you can find. The breakfast I had this morning was just as good. You get free coffee that's amazing. If you think about it the breakfast i had was around $6 the coffee is worth that much so it's like getting free breakfast with your coffee. Now to the Cannoli......I have flown to New York for cannoli before. I love them this much. These are better. The best. Some people refer to someone as the man, the myth, the legend. I've came to refer to the person behind this culinary work of art as the deity of the culinary arts. Everything on this menu is a masterpiece. As Poseidon is to the sea and Apollo is to music, Paul Pellegrino is to food. I don't think in a hundred lifetimes I could ever dream up the creations that they serve here. If you believe like I do that love can be shown through food this guy is the Cupid of this industry.

So, I absolutely love the food and gelato here, and started going here frequently when it first opened and at that point I rated it 5 stars. The staff is friendly, and I believe I met the owner early on and he was incredibly friendly too.
Unfortunately, it is hard for me to ever justify going here anymore which is really upsetting considering how much I enjoy this place. While some may find it unreasonable, the conundrum for me is that they serve veal. While I have never ordered the veal it still is unnerving to know that my money would help support a store that is helping support the veal industry, and that my business could make up for any loss in profits for doing so.
It is just a moral struggle that I don't really need when buying a meal or dessert. I just don't want to feel guilty for deciding to buy gelato and I find it easier to just avoid this business. While some might think it is an overreaction to feel this way, it is a feeling that I can't overcome, and I doubt I'm the only one.
While I know many people can overlook something they are indirectly contributing to, I believe there are quite a few people who have the same issues with this shop that I do. Honestly, it surprises me that they even are able to sell vegan options at all.
Of course I cant say with certainty, but it seems to me that in a place like Fort Collins they are probably losing more in profits by having veal on the menu than they gain from contributing to the veal industry. So, while I am dubious this review will make a difference, I write it mainly in hopes that the owner will consider what I have said, and may consider removing veal from the menu in the future.
