Jay's Bistro was a staple in Fort Collins fine dining and cocktails! I am sad to to such a wonderful establishment leave our community. I am hopeful another jazz efficianoado picks up where Jay's left off!

We have been here three times for dinner with immediate family, most recently to celebrate a birthday. In every instance, the food, beverages and service did not disappoint. My only gripe is having to shout over the live music but it is, after all, a jazz bistro. Sadly, they are closing down at the end of the month so no more duck wing appetizers.

Have been wanting to get to Jays for a few years, to hear the live Jazz. Sad to hear they're closing and was super disappointed when we were seated in the far back room where you cannot really hear the music. Overall the food was great (recommend the Brussels Sprouts starter-so damn good!) and our server Rose did a great job.

We know they were running out of items because they are closing, but drinks were taking 15-20 mins. Also, we were told by our server that they only had 2 duck dishes left (which we wanted to order), but she didn't return to take our order for 20-30 mins, so they were out by the time we could order

Jay's used to be great. Now they are closinng. Went one last time and definitely regret it. Served undercooked mussels (literally half were raw, the other half were room temp.) Ordered $74 Filet Oscar style only to have to crack the crab legs ourselves. Crab was over cooked, and the shells were not hard. Couldn't even crack it and pull out the crab. Wife's steak was ordered medium, half of it came extremely rare. They offered to bring it up to temperature and take our drinks off the bill (of which they only took half of the drinks off.) It's unfortunate this will be the last memory we have of Jay's. Bartender was still awesome and made drinks that used to be on the menu years ago.

It was great to have the opportunity to say goodbye to Jay's bistro before they close on January 31. They are an icon in Fort Collins Colorado and they will be missed. The wait staff and the service staff was five stars. Thanks for the many memories Jays bistro.

The service was amazing and our meals were excellent. Very tender, bison, ribeye wonderful carrot, purée underneath tender, fingerling, potatoes, amazing sautéed mushrooms and a delicious wine recommended by our server. We will definitely miss everything about Jay bistro

Makes sense why they are closing. So bad. 2 hours for food. Waiter ignored us, food was bland, the room smelt like BO and all the tables were soo close to each other. Planned to go out afterward, and couldn't because everything took forever. Reservation at 7:30-left at 10.

We truly enjoyed the food at Jay's Bistro. Our meals were terrific, and the drinks tasted great. My only feedback was the wait time for food and the lack of check-in with our waiter for drinks and communication. The entire meal took about 2 1/2 hours, so I was happy to be there with good company. My starter soup took 35 minutes, and the entrees took over 1 1/2 hours to come out. We were offered one drink and sat empty for a while. We also put in that we were celebrating a birthday; we don't expect desserts at this type of restaurant but instead better service. Again, the food was incredible and is the prime reason we'd be willing to give Jay's another try.

Jay's Bistro is a Fort Collins institution, and Sam is an excellent bar manager. My drink was perfect and the ambience of the front corner booth in the bar is my favorite. Thursdays-Sundays there's live music. Overall, love this place.

Overall good experience. Food was good but felt a bit overpriced. Some confusion with wait staff wandering and offering dishes intended for other tables. Waitperson also mentioned that were providing substitutes for asparagus because it had become too expensive. Sounded cheap for what the restaurant claims/aspires to be.

We had a small wedding reception in their private room and it was excellent! The wait staff were patient and the food was delicious. The banquet manager and the owner were also very helpful, friendly, and always willing and open to answer questions!

Jay's was not up to standard yesterday! Filet was tough, potatoes overcooked and sautéed spinach not really cooked. First time ever in many, many years. Dessert was fantastic! We all have our off days(s) so won't alter my going to Jay's in the near future!

It was New Years Eve. I made reservations a month in advance. We were seated next to a family with 2 small children that were quite active. The service was slow and pretty inattentive. Water ran out twice and dessert was served and we waited for our coffee for approximately 5 minutes. The food was delicious. I was expecting asparagus and received broccoli, however that was fine.
