I realized I've probably had a couple hundred La Luz burritos if you go back to my college days but I had never reviewed. Do it right and take advantage of the roasted medium salsa poured poured liberally into a potato burrito. Well, that's my fave. Other options are also fantastic. This is a place that understands that heat imparts flavor. The meat has just the right char and I already mentioned the roasted salsa which is way too hard to find in restaurants.Only tip for improvement feedback is that on occasion in the past I'd get a tortilla that is a bit dried and flaky on the outside, but it's still fine and they may have fixed that based on recent visits.I don't live nearby anymore but I still make it up once in a while and it is still a happy place for my belly each time. It's an absolute shame the other locations have closed.

Just went for my first time. Tried chips, guac, and salsa. The food was truly amazing. Best guac I’ve ever had. And the corn salsa is perfect. The girl who worked the front was also extremely nice and helpful on multiple occasions. The one negative is their beer prices. I paid $6.50 for a draft and 8.50 for a tall can. A little

Staying at a local hotel. Went since they had vegetarian entrees. Had the special potato burrito with grilled veggies and green sauce and husband had the garden burrito and we shared chips and guacamole and husband sampled a lot of different salsas. Food was fresh, filling and delicious! Service was excellent! Will be going back.

Food is fantastic but climate control is poor. We wore jackets and it was still cold. Not the first time this has happened. We'll wait for warmweather before going back.

So disappointing. I had a potato burrito with grilled veggies, and I ate it, but it was terrible. The “grilled veggies” were not grilled. Nothing was seasoned. The smothered green chili seemed very cornstarch-heavy, and also without any flavor. Even the salsas and pico de gallo at the salsa bar were bland. To add insult to injury, we paid almost $10 for chips, salsa, and guacamole. (If the salsa bar displays “complimentary salsa,” why did we pay $2.99 extra when we paid $6.49 for the chips and guacamole?) La Luz was overpriced and underwhelming. Someone wrote a review that you’re better off going to Chipotle, and unfortunately, I couldn’t agree more.

Cilantro lime rice is really like plain white rice. There's no flavor to the pastor, none in the black beans and the pico is tasteless too. The meat was dry as well. The green chili is just like tomato soup basically. I was starving when I came in and I'm leaving starving going somewhere else because I couldn't eat the pastor burrito anymore. It just was completely disappointing. Most definitely won't be back.

I’m staying at the nearby Marriott and was looking for a place within walking distance. Given the prevalence of chain restaurants nearby, I was afraid I might end up in the hotel restaurant, but saw this on Google Maps. I liked that it was local but was kind of resigned to eating at a knock-off of the big burrito chains. La Luz put those chains to shame! They had great food and great service! I may have eaten the best burrito I have ever eaten (Atomic Seafood Burrito). The salsa bar was fantastic, and I am going to dream about the creamy green, but very spicy salsa for days to come. Highly recommend.

Worst Mexican food ever! The "fish" tacos had a little fishy mush with lots of lettuce and tomatoes. The child's quesadilla was pathetic - paper thin and tasteless.

Quality food, reasonable prices, and a great salsa bar. We eat here every time we visit Fort Collins!

I'm a vegetarian and love their vegetarian burrito options. If you get a burrito with "grilled veggies" it will include things like carrots, squash, and broccoli in addition to onions and peppers. Another reviewer complained about that, but I actually like it - it's nice to get a lot of veggies in a meal. If you don't want the non-traditional burrito veggies though, there are other good vegetarian options (garden burrito, chile relleno burrito, fajitas burrito and ask for beans as the protein, etc.). Also, their tacos are very generous portions and I am very full after just 2.On their own, the vegetarian burritos may be a little flavorless, but once you add a little salsa they are amazing. They have a salsa bar if you eat there with many great options. I'm not sure if I'd order take out from here because I'd miss the salsa bar - it's definitely a highlight of La Luz!One negative: Sometimes it can be a little slow and take awhile to get your food - it varies a lot here depending on how busy it is.

This place has *the best* breakfast burrito in town, by far. Owner is cool too, always friendly.I've been here for lunch and dinner too, and it was always good.
