Best Ethiopian food in the greater area. Authe ntic dishes and a great atmosphere. Has traditional and regular seating.
My first Ethiopian meal was exceptional. The proprietress chose and prepared a panoply of deliciousness that our small group devoured. She even spent some time chatting with us afterward and provided genuine Ethiopian candies as a parting treat. Visit this Fort Collins gem before it disappears.
Delicious food. Vegan options are also excellent. Always happy to eat here!
I have visited this place a few times and have been very impressed with the food and service. I look forward to stopping in to this restaurant in particular when I am in the area.
GREAT food, Great ownership. I love that place.
Fantastic restaurant. I really enjoyed this cuisine experience. If you haven't tried Ethiopian food before this is a great place to have your first taste. The staff were friendly and quick and the owner has some sass, so be prepared for some jokes and banter. Overall, I had a fantastic experience here.
Try the traditional seating. Be prepared to eat using the bread to pick up meat and veggies.
Had lunch here today and was inspired to write a review due to how delicious everything was. I've been eating here since they opened about 15 years ago (mostly lunch but occasionally dinner). In all that time I've never had a bad meal or experience. It has been consistently great.
I respect that he woman in this place does everything on her own and building a business is not easy, so good job on that! HOWEVER, just the fact that she is working so hard is NOT an excuse to serve food that is OVERCOOKED without any life to it, or to have very POOR customer service. I wanted to check this place out bcs it had good reviews, I think many Americans who have not had much exposure to spicy food think this is good, but if you have had some exposure to good indian/asian food, then trust me, this place is NOT what it seems in the reviews. The food is so bad, overcooked and no life to it... the collard greens were not green anymore..there was water dripping in the rice which made it unappealing..veggies were also overcooked.
Wow. The food here is amazing. We weren't sure what to order and let the owner put it together for us. Intense flavors. Truly exceptional.

Very enjoyable first time experience. The owner is very friendly and open. We will be back. I would recommend this place.
Wonderful food and a calm sacred atmosphere with Ethiopian art on the walls and traditional tapestries and recliners on the floor. You will enjoy the food and mentally leave behind Fort Collins, which alone is worth the visit.
Delicious vegan options! Loved every dish and the portion size was filling. The server was so accommodating and friendly. I would definitely recommend to vegans, as well as omnis. You have to give this place a try!
Truly amazing food here! The enjeera is always perfect. Spiciness levels are customizable to some extent, but I recommend always going SPICY. Don't be scared to order take out, as the portions are oddly extra generous when ordered to go but remember to TIP regardless.
I love Nyala! My husband and I come here all the time, sometimes multiple times per week. The food is delicious and nutrient-dense. Etage, the owner, is so hospitable - we always feel welcome when we go. During the lunch hour, she does everything: cooks, seats people, waits tables, buses, etc. The engudai tibs is my favorite dish, and highly recommended!
