We ate there on Friday October 3rd 2025 and there was a roach in our food and when we told them they showed no concern and offered no explanation or apology and still thought we were gonna pay for the meal

I wanted to like this place,.having lived in México for a couple years. Super friendly service, nice mexican restaurant atmosphere. They brought out free chips with salsa and beans that were actually really good. We only bought fried ice cream and sopapillas. Man, they were pretty terrible. Ice cream was lousy and I'm not even sure what they put on the outside coating. It was soggy and not how it should be. Throw on some cheap Hershey syrup, and you might as well throw your money down the tubes. Sopapillas were better, but that doesn't say much. Not at all how they should be. I guess fried dough tastes ok no matter what. Perhaps their food is better. Desserts need major help. I have a feeling the dinner plates are better, so I'll try that some time and leave another review.

One of the best Mexican restaurants in northern Colorado for authentic delicious Mexican food.

Great location with seating on the sidewalk for people watching while you eat. Tried the chicken fajitas for two. Food was good. Short on the cheese, guac and sour cream to compliment your fajita.

Fort Collins… very disappointed. The Rio and Pueblo Viejo are rated the same. When in fact everything about the food at Viejo is far superior. The Rio is essentially bar food. Please do your jobs and make Viejo the go to Old Town spot for Mexican Cuisine. If you keep this up we won’t be able to have nice things anymore.

Great place, not my favorite carne asada or tacos, but great chimichangas and relleno

Excellent food. Portions are large. Server was a gentleman.

The excessively lengthy review by Fiestas 303 is beyond belief. Was this an internationally renowned food critic, or just a normal diner? So wordy and detailed about his meal choice about everything but left out if there were mice running around! My wife and I have been to this restaurant many many times. It is family owned and operated and exceptionally attentive, courteous in serving diners. . While not satisfying to Fiestas 303 (maybe he should dine in a 5 star establishment in Mexico), we have always enjoyed our meal, its quality, quick service of hot food. And great choice of Margaritas. Overlook obnoxious Fiesta 303, and enjoy a very pleasant experience at Pueblo Viejo, where they serve each customer with joy!

Parking: A City lot is steps away, and low rates, Usually one can park along the main street (College Avenue) if patient in circling a couple times. Easiest is to the North of the restaurant. For sure, you can park within 5-10 minute walk

Large portions. Locally owned. The family like the meal. I showed up a little late just in time to walk around Old Town afterwards.

Service is so fast, you would think that something was wrong. You order, they take your menu back up front, and then walk to the kitchen and straight back to your table and set your food down. Then you think you blacked out or had a stroke because it was 45 seconds to make 4 fresh hot plates. It's a timewarp I swear.
