We were at Snowygrass bluegrass festival last weekend. Miami food truck was there. We had the dumplings in peanut sauce which amazing! Tristan, Joe and Sarah were so much fun to interact with. Tristan bought plants at our booth.

Got their food at the fort collins food truck rally in city park. I had high hopes and oh boy did they deliver. I got the dumplings with peanut sauce and a pork ninja bowl with ginger soy sauce - both were amazing! I definitely could have gotten by with just getting one item because the portions are good size, but I am glad I got both. Each bite has a ton of flavor and those sauces were nothing like I've tasted before (in a very good way). The yellow rice on the bottom of both dishes was amazing as well.I will be a repeat customer for sure. Thank you!

The sauces were amazing but I feel like that’s all what my money went to.Got the Thai Nachos and I feel like they need to add more to them, bean sprouts maybe? More veggies.. SOMETHING. All it was was La favorita chips with choice of meat or tofu, onions and cilantro. then drenched in creamy Sriracha? and peanut sauce. The only thing good was the sauce. Hate getting food from somewhere that I could just make better at home :( Wish I got the dumplings ?

Delicious + great vegan options.

Gave Umami a shot and was absolutely blown away. Had to try the nachos and my vegan friend was very happy with all their accommodating options. Will definitely be tracking them down around town!

Got the umami bowl with chicken & spicy peanut sauce. Says the rice is "seasoned" but it is unsalted saffron rice. The vegetables were pretty good (but bland) and the chicken was excellent, as was the peanut sauce. However, it was incredibly bland (especially for a truck named Umami?). Once I added a bit of soy sauce, it was much better. The saffron overpowered the dish, though, so if you're on the fence about saffron definitely skip the bowl and go for something without rice. And bring soy sauce or salt.

Fun ambience (!) but the Moose Ears tasted like frozen microwaved Italian meatballs from grocery store smothered in BBQ sauce. It was a disappointment. At least the Yukon fries saved the day.
Stopped by City Park yesterday to grab some food and heard about Umami from my sister who LOVES it! I will say the sheer size of this thing alone was well worth the price but there were a couple of critiques I'd make about this sandwich. I loved the pork (because that's the only logical choice of protein on a banh mi) which was an excellent decision because it was tender and flavorful. I really liked the sriracha mayo, fresh jalapeños, and the bread was a great choice as it was perfectly airy and fluffy. The biggest issue I had with this sandwich were the pickled daikons and carrots. They were way too overpowering to the point where I couldn't finish the sandwich because all I was tasting was vinegar. At some points the bread was too soggy to hold everything in its fluffy yeasted cloud of wheat which made it a little difficult to eat. If you're a fan of getting smacked in the face with acid I'd definitely recommend this. I guess I did get this sandwich sans peanut sauce, however, I can't imagine that would cut the acidity all that much.Overall it was a good sandwich, but not great. My recommendations to the sandwich creating gods would be: less pickled vegetables, more cilantro, and it was seriously lacking the crisp, cooling bite of a fresh cucumber you would find on a traditional banh mi. I will definitely be back to try their dumplings or next time they feature this on their specials board!

This food is so bomb. As always I encourage owners to add to their vegan/vegetarian options, but it really is the best foco food truck.

We tried Umami while drinking tasty beers at Snowbank Brewing on a Saturday night. We ordered the Thai nachos which were a spicy, onion-y, cliantro-y delicious meal. The peanut sauce instead of cheese proves that nachos can be absent cheese and still be amazing. They combined two of our favorite genres of food: nachos and Thai, and they achieved junk food greatness. I'd love to try their other offerings sometime!
