Comparing this to L&L so it's gonna be a high bar. We were a fam of 5 late Saturday night so things were quiet but the service was still very nice. From assorted dishes: meats were nicely seasoned, just wish the short ribs had a little more char on them. Still very tasty, tho. The mac salad was slightly dry -I'm used to a little more mayo but, again, still tasty. Overall, the 5 dishes we ordered were a hit and we went away with happy bellies and smiles.

We love Tropix for takeout; it’s affordable and the portions are generous. I highly recommend the chicken katsu any style, and the coconut shrimp plate lunch. Rice and macaroni salad are on point as sides, and the hot and sour soup on a cold day is amazing (spicy!). Counter help is friendly enough both in person and over the phone, but not overly so - they are more casual and that seems to fit the vibe here in general.

This is an absolute hole in the wall restaurant, however it has fantastic food! Don't pass this place up! The chicken has fantastic flavor and the egg drop soup is amazing. Unfortunately the prices are insane. I spent almost $50 for 3 meals.
