Yama Sushi & Asian Fusion

I have been eating at Yama sushi or Zen Garden’s since 2015. I was looking for a new Sushi place to eat. When I first went in the to try out sushi, the young lady there helped me figure out what to order. I was new at ordering sushi, so I didn’t know exactly what to order or what I would like. She explained it to me and was very, very helpful. Yama sushi is my go to restaurant when I want to treat myself. With the owner Max, Nancy and Linda are Friendly and always offer me something to drink while I’m waiting for my order to go. The food gets better every time I eat there. If you’re looking for a fast, friendly affordable place to have sushi and other dishes, then Yama sushi is your restaurant.

great food and amazing price. service was great, the reviews saying bad service are rude entitled people that can’t treat workers with respect. this is a clean, amazingly priced, and delicious sushi spot. the salmon was amazing. i doubt you can get this amount of sushi for this good of a price anywhere else in junction!! 🍣

The food was good.
The issue was the attitude coming from the lady at the cashier counter and the other waitress. They were so rude and unprofessional. Don’t waste your money here.

This is a great place for take out. The sushi is the best in the Valley and the owner threw in miso soup for all of our party. Highly recommend.

We eat here often, and it's always an enjoyable experience. Food is great, and service is great. I love Nancy!!

Yama Sushi is the only place we go for Chinese food.
I am not into sushi, but the sushi bar is bright, colorful and meticulously spotless.

This whole restaurant sparkles, and we very much enjoy the atmosphere. Their hostess is sweet, and she always makes me feel welcome. For that matter, the whole staff always gives us utmost courtesy.

And the food? It quickly arrives hot and fresh and it is delicious. Portions are generous, and the prices are fair.

All our food was fresh and delicious!😋 We had Chicken Lo Mein, California Rolls, Orange Chicken with fried rice, and Spider Roll! The staff are amazing! This is one of our few restaurants we love! Thank you guys!

There was 1 other person in the restaurant. It took a half hour to get our food. The sushi was amazing and the cashew chicken was good. Didnt care for egg drop soup. The rice was dry and inedible. When we went to pay the person taking monetold my husband he had to leave a tip and he said no i do not, service was bad, rice was dry, no tip. The person argued with my husband, to the point of pissing him off. I could have over looked the dry rice and went back because the sushi was delish. Until the tip ordeal and no i wont return.

Food is always fresh and delicious! Very quick, and friendly people.

We run into this place on our way to Denver. The owner of this place greeted us and served us food including complimentary miso soup. We ordered some sushi and noodles, rice etc. Everything was delicious. The prize is very good compared to the size of the portions, I would recommended sharing a plate.
Service was very and well organized and as I mentioned the owner is a very lovely person. If we ever have a chance, we’ll come back again.

Whenever I'm in Grand Junction around lunchtime, I make it a point to stop by Yama Sushi. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere is both welcoming and relaxing. What truly stands out is the incredible value—you receive generous portions at prices that are hard to beat. For instance, their lunch specials, like the Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box, come with a California roll, shumai, edamame, and rice, all for just $13 . It's a satisfying meal that often leaves me with leftovers for later. If you're in town during lunch hours, I highly recommend giving Yama Sushi a try—you might even catch me there enjoying my favorite lunch special. Orange chicken... yummm...
