After a long day in the park, we came here because it was close to the exit of the park. I get that bar food isn’t expected to be the same quality as the Ritz Carlton, but the food was bad. Everything was frozen and flavorless. Out waitress was terrible and after presenting the card reader (for the bill), stood there and watched me select the time, sign, etc. It was incredibly rude. The only redeeming quality was the local IPA I had. Will have to find some place else to eat while we are in Grand Lake.

The view of Rocky Moutain National Park is amazing. The service is great, my wife has to be gluten free and both times we have gone they were super accommodating and knowledge. One of the times they had live local music that added to the atmosphere!

Grand Lake local here. Haven’t been to the wild bear in a couple of years but after this visit I can honestly say you should come here. This town can be hit or miss in the food department, but the wild bear nailed it. The seafood boil was awesome (they’re the only place up here you can get something unique like this) and their take on a cheesesteak was incredible. The staff is super friendly. Be aware, mountain town during a busy time leads to longer waits, but just enjoy the view from the deck and have a drink. The food is definitely worth the wait
Our server Larella was great, and after talking with the restaurant manager, Sherry, and the head chef, Acela, I discovered how much work they put in to developing their own recipes, homemade sauces, etc…. Skip the usual and have dinner here.

Made reservations online. Showed up to huge party going on. No reservations and they just said sit anywhere someone will be with you. In that mess??? Highly unlikely. Left and found another place to eat.
No signage on the road or on the building indicating Wild Bear Tavern. Plenty of signage on both indicating The Hideaway, which seemed to be the Wild Bear Tavern we were searching for. Agree with other posters- the food was just okay.

Venue, Catering and Communication are all 10's for us! I know your survey said a ranking of 1-6, but we feel all of these categories exceeded our expectations in every single way. Your communication was on point during the entire process. We felt confident in our choices leading up to the day and knew that we were going to be taken care of.
Sherry was an absolute pleasure to work with. During the tour she was more than accommodating and even gave us ideas on what to do in town. We ended up bringing our entire wedding party to the tavern on Friday for live music (at Sherry's recommendation) and the entire crew had a great time. Sherry even had the performer give Maddie and I a shout out during the performance which made the night even more special.
During dinner Sunday, the bartenders on staff were amazing! Joking with our guests and even playing music for us to dance to. At one point cowboy hats came out and the party was great!
We felt so welcomed by everyone at Wild Bear Tavern. I genuinely think our trip would not have been the same without the staff at the tavern.
I don't have anything to tell you to improve on, because it was perfect from start to finish.
