The view of Rocky Moutain National Park is amazing. The service is great, my wife has to be gluten free and both times we have gone they were super accommodating and knowledge. One of the times they had live local music that added to the atmosphere!
Grand Lake local here. Haven’t been to the wild bear in a couple of years but after this visit I can honestly say you should come here. This town can be hit or miss in the food department, but the wild bear nailed it. The seafood boil was awesome (they’re the only place up here you can get something unique like this) and their take on a cheesesteak was incredible. The staff is super friendly. Be aware, mountain town during a busy time leads to longer waits, but just enjoy...
No signage on the road or on the building indicating Wild Bear Tavern. Plenty of signage on both indicating The Hideaway, which seemed to be the Wild Bear Tavern we were searching for. Agree with other posters- the food was just okay.
