Stopped in tonight because I was too lazy to go home and make my own Baba Ganoush. I grilled some eggplant last night, peeled it and put it in the fridge,, and I'm trying to remember how I used to make it, but it's been 15 years ~ and I was hungry right now. I must have looked especially hungry when I walked in, because this wonderful man fed me even though the restaurant was technically closed for the afternoon break. (I only realized when I texted my spouse to brag that I'd found this place and he pointed it out.) The dolma is amazing; I meant to only have one or two and take the rest home, but I went through almost the entire plate by the time the shawarma came out, and that was even better. This is one of those places you HAVE to try. We came here simply because we were in the area and couldn’t decide what to eat. Best. Happy. Accident. Ever.
Cozy mom and pop vibes and when the chef came from the back to chat with us we were so enamored. Kal is so passionate about the food he makes and his wife Melissa is so sweet and kind.
