Rooms are clean and comfortable. The town has little amenities.
We detoured northwest off US-40 into Hot Sulphur Springs instead of staying along the main I-70 corridor. It’s a classic, no-frills mountain motel that works as a basic pitstop when exploring further up into Grand County.

John was so helpful when we called before our stay. We checked in through text and he stopped by to bring us a fan and see if we were all good. The kitchenette had basics and we cooked almost every meal there. Dog friendly but never heard any noises or dogs through the walls. Very quiet and clean.

Canyon Motel offers clean and comfortable rooms, conveniently located near hot sulfur springs. The owner is very friendly and helpful, welcoming guests with a warm demeanor. Ideal for fishing trips, the affordable and cozy rooms are also pet-friendly. The accommodating staff, fast WiFi, and parking right in front of the rooms contribute to a pleasant stay. Guests have consistently found the rooms very clean, featuring good shower pressure and plenty of hot water. The motel includes a nice little kitchen equipped with plates and silverware. The manager is attentive, quickly addressing any issues that arise. The motel has a quaint and adorable cottage feeling, with a great location near Granby and Grand Lake, and stunning green mountain views. Many guests have praised the amazing service, especially when they needed assistance late at night. Although a few guests mentioned minor issues, such as moths in the room, the overall experience remains very positive, making it a highly recommended place for a stay, especially given the competitive rates compared to other hotels nearby.
