Jean's Family Kitchen is a popular spot for locals and travelers alike. Conveniently located near Chicago, this diner offers unique sandwich options like half a club, half a grilled cheese, or half a BLT. The menu also features delicious shrimp and jalapeño cream cheese burgers, amazing mozzarella sticks, and the best mushroom Swiss burger, grilled to perfection. Customers praise the open face green chili burger as one of the best. The friendly staff provides great service, even during busy times, making it a favorite among visitors who appreciate the mom and pop atmosphere. On beautiful fall days, the cozy environment attracts a good crowd, including the local fire department. Parking is easy, with spots available for trucks, making it a perfect stop for a breather. While there might not be wifi, the cheerful locals create a welcoming atmosphere. Jean's Family Kitchen is definitely a must-visit if you're in the area. However, it can get crowded, and with only one staff member on duty, some customers may experience longer waits. The quality of food and reasonable prices make it worth the visit.
