I'm gonna miss Eric's food. During my stay in Idaho Springs, it was my favorite food as it reminded me of one of my favorites dishes in Peru.

My partner and I decided on Eric’s Asian Café for dinner. When asking about the ingredients in different dishes, the waiter/owner told us “to find a different restaurant.” I have traveled all over the world ordering plant based foods and I have never experienced something so deliberately disrespectful. Was it because we are gay or because we were asking questions about ingredients, we may never know. He was a nasty old man who lost our business and hopefully yours. Regardless, Beware!

Food is amazing, I recommend the drunken noodles. Owner is very experienced and kind. Have been here many times and always a quality visit. Would give more stars if I could! Thanks for everything Eric.

The place is unassuming and with a bit dated interior and Eric is a man of few words but the food was reasonably priced, cooked super quickly and tasted pretty excellent. The won-soup tasted like it was home made and was fantastic. The rest of our meal was delicious. We will totally come here

Needed to break up the drive back from steamboat, and Eric’s was the perfect place to stop. Ordered the Kung Pao chicken and Lo Mein, and they were great. Great service, would highly recommend.

Went in with a few buddies of mine after we declared a craving for Chinese food. The first impression wasn’t great. Seemed like a dirty restaurant, completely empty and the gentleman working the register had a filthy mask on. Staying optimistic, I figured they must have some bomb food. We sat down and ordered a few hot teas. When he brought them to the table, they were all in different cups and luke warm. One of the teas was in a small cup that was placed inside a mug— no idea what that was about but definitely a first. The server’s hands and shirt were also very dirty. At this point we were pretty skeptical, so we decided to test the waters by ordering some egg rolls for the table. He brought over spring rolls instead. To be fair though, they were pretty good. As we were debating on whether or not to leave, the gentleman at the register got into a shouting match with a sketchy looking guy who had been hovering around the desk for the past few minutes. He kicked him out the back of the restaurant. While he was gone, we decided to bounce. We left some cash on the table and while we were walking out, the server came back out and was clearly angered by our departure. We told him that we were in a hurry and left some money on the table. He wasn’t thrilled, but let us go. Definitely a few easy things that could be fixed with very little effort.

Very rude and way overpriced. Not worth it! Take your money to anywhere else in town or wait til you get back down the mountain. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!

Take out was good and plentiful. I live nearby and it seemed like locals don't go here, but it's the closest Chinese food to us.
