My wife and I have been to this restaurant in the past. However, this time not so good, I had the New York strip, it was a little gristly, when the waitress asked me, how was my food? I said a little gristly, she said, I'll let them know when the owner/manager asked me how was my food? I said, a little grisly, she gave me the same blow me off attitude. Don't let this place fool you, the outside may not look like much. But the steak portions are generous, and the prices are very low. Everything was tasty. I have no complaints. If you are staying at the nearby the econolodge, you even get a little bit of a discount.
It was fine. I ordered a rare 12 oz sirloin. Steak came out medium-well. I'm pretty sure the steak was actually a piece of a pot roast that was just cooked like a steak. Mac and cheese is TV dinner quality. It's like Bob Evans straight from the package.
But they're not charging top dollar either. So that's why I say it was fine. I'm not upset about it, but it was only an okay value.
