Worth the 40 minute drive to LA Salle. Best Mexican in northern Colorado.

Based on the reviews, Armadillo La Salle | Mexican is a great place for casual Mexican food. It has been a favorite restaurant for a long time, with wonderful food and fantastic service. The grilled chicken is a highlight, no matter what it's in, and the margaritas are fantastic. The restaurant has a wonderful selection and even has some of the same menu items from years ago. The staff and management are on top of their game, providing quick, patient, and fantastic customer service. The food is awesome, and the cost isn't ridiculous. Specific meals mentioned include the grilled chicken burritos smothered in jalepeno cream sauce. The chips and salsa are great, and the fried ice cream is wonderful. There is plenty of parking. While it is a little off the beaten path, it is definitely worth the drive for authentic Mexican food. This is a great option for big family events, a nice quiet dinner, or for taking family, friends, or business acquaintances.
