It’s a cute family run place. It was the only breakfast place open in town at 8AM after I’d just come off of a night of camping in sub-freezing weather.

The coffee and shakshouka were just what the doctor ordered. Service was quick and prices are reasonable.

Innovative menu, refreshing to have some novel options - the stuffed set potato and pork- belly topped risotto were very substantial and tasty

Absolutely fantastic! Went for breakfast biscuits & gravy and classic benedict outstanding. Great espresso & cappuccino. So impressed we went back for bfast & dinner until we tried everything on the menu - all so tasty & beautifully presented. Gourmet dinners with just right portions and reasonable pricing. Super friendly owner & waitstaff always made us feel welcome and at home. Extensive cocktail selection served in beautiful glasses. Cozy indoor/outdoor seating with pleasant dining music. Don't miss this gem of Lake City!

I was so excited to eat here after seeing pictures and reviews and was so disappointed. I got the French toast and it was literally just a slice of toasted white bread put in a waffle iron. The saddest “French toast” ever made. The service was average.

Best bacon and blueberry pancake I’ve ever eaten and I am a food EXPERT! Great service, excellent morning vibe and, whether heading out riding, hiking or whatever, BH&E is a GREAT way to start your day! This will be our go-to breakfast spot on all our future trips.

Great place to eat after a tiring day in the mountains. The breakfast food is so good. The atmosphere is also lovely with tons of outdoor seating, a swing, a hot tub, etc. the servers were very kind and helpful and prices reasonable for such a remote place.

By a country mile this is the best breakfast/brunch/lunch place in Lake City (and between there and Gunnison). Very friendly staff, mostly from Bulgaria, have very good customer service. Don't miss this place as it is tucked behind some very greasy "bakery" close to the main road. Whatever you order, get the homemade biscuits with jalapenos. The only area of need are the breakfast potatoes, a bit overcooked, but that is the only thing I can think of. They are open during the summer this year, but will stay open year around beginning this winter.

Great little spot for dinner with very friendly staff! The food was very nice and tasted home cooked. Dog friendly on the patio which is always a huge plus. Would definitely come back when back in the area.
