As Kansas City natives and avid BBQ enthusiasts (we even had Arthur Bryant's cater our wedding reception!), my wife and I are notoriously tough critics when it comes to 'cue. All I can say is the food is fantastic. Have taken several people there and they all loved it. What a gem we have in Lake George. If you like BBQ, this place is a must.
Best bbq around. Everything from the brisket, burnt ends, baked beans, coleslaw, brisket sandwiches and the homemade peach cobbler and amazing cinnamon rolls we had is awesome. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. The owners and employees are all very friendly. Will definitely be going there often. The bbq in the Springs area and Woodland Park don’t even come close to the quality and flavor of this place. It’s like mana from heaven. Just go!!!!!

Lake George Fat BBQ Shack & Breakfast Diner serves incredible food that is seriously the best BBQ in all of Colorado. Everything tastes fresh, packed with flavor, and cooked right, with meat tender and full of flavor. The brisket burger/sandwiches, three meat plate, burnt ends, ribs, and biscuits and gravy are all highlights. The baked beans are a meal onto themselves, filled with flavor and chunks of burnt ends and peppers and onion in a sweet and savory sauce. The coleslaw is cold, crisp, and delicious, and the BBQ sauces are delish. The service is great, and the staff and owners are very nice and friendly. The owner Kerry has operated multiple BBQ joints and it shows, bringing in Elgin sausage next. The whole place has a welcoming atmosphere, and sitting outside by Lake George on a beautiful CO day cannot be beat. Be mindful because the line will be out the door. This spot is absolutely worth stopping at for the best BBQ and the real deal for those that know.
