You’re going to be hard pressed to find a better Italian beef in the Denver area. Don’t bother searching elsewhere because the two best places are/were here and mile high Vienna stand.

My 1st time here, brought by a friend who was originally from Chicago and now lives near this place. It offers true Chicago sandwiches, the way I get them in Chicago! Fabulous Italian beef, hot dogs, fries, etc. The memorabilia all around the restaurant brings a Chicagoan right back home! Don't miss this place! Great experience!!

I had the Vienna dog, my friend had the Chicago dog, and we shared an order of cheese fries. The soft drinks had an overly generous amount of ice, the food was ok, the atmosphere was serious Chicago kitsch--probably a true delight for homesick transplants from the Windy City. The service, though... I wonder if the owners are trying to make poor, surly service a part of the kitsch. That's the nicest explanation I can find, anyway. We waited a few minutes by the ordering window for the short red-haired person to end her leisurely personal conversation at the pick-up window and deign to accept our order. She wandered away for another extended chitchat while we watched our cheese fries congealing behind the counter and heard the cook calling her to bring us our food. We were eventually allowed to bring our room-temperature lunch to our table. Maybe I'm just not a big fan of the treat-the-customers-badly form of restaurant entertainment. In any event, we won't be back.

Best Italian Beef in Denver. I circled the original restaurant for 3 months before it opened followed them to their new location and I'm still going 20? 25 years later?

Hadn't been in awhile.There is a distinct difference in the quantity of product for the new raised prices.The Italian Beef used to be so stuffed with meat you could split or only eat halfNot so anymore.The Chicago Dog is much thinner than it use to be.A shame the product does not match the new prices.

This place is like a little slice of home, right here in Colorado. The Chicago dog…perfection. And they have Green River! If they had red cream soda on tap, this place would be heaven on earth. Come by and grab yourself a little piece of Chicago—I’m already planning my next visit!
