El Tequileno Family Mexican Restaurant

Went for dinner. Got our food and drinks at a good speed. Food was great. Our waitress however never came to refill drinks or bring the check. We were trying to pay with card but after waiting 20 minutes for her to take it we wound up scrounging up enough cash so we could pay the bill and go. She was nice and I would normally have tipped but the bill took all the cash we had and we had places to be. Had to leave cash on the table and go. Food was great though. Will be back again for sure.

I had eaten at this restaurant before quite a few times, but 2 days ago I had a pretty bad experience. My son picked up 2 Desayuno breakfast burritos and brought them home. As we started eating them we noticed we were hitting large, mushy potatoes but nothing else. I opened the burrito and saw... potatoes, only potatoes. No egg at all and maybe a third of a piece of bacon crumbled in there. My son's was the same. I called the next day to talk to the manager but he wasn't in, so I called again the next day. I asked if I could have my money back but he stated it was not their policy to do a refund unless you brought the food in. I can only think that they are trying to save money by not putting much else in the breakfast burrito, but it was so bad! Needless to say, I won't be going back there again. I'll be darned if I'll ever pay $16.50 again for a POTATO BURRITO!

Food is so great we brought 7 of our friends to try it. We have been going there for many years! Also the best location is at Kipling and Florida in Lakewood.

We had the best waitress (Regina). Don't let her go. She was very kind and very attentive. The food is very delicious. I recommend this restaurant. It is very rare that you find someone who does their job with pleasure.
