Gaby’s German Eatery in Lakewood is a cozy, family-run spot that absolutely deserves 10 stars. The beef stroganoff and brats were rich, hearty, and full of flavor, and the homemade cake with cherries was incredibly delicious even though the exact name escapes me. The homemade lemonade was a standout because it tasted fresh and bright without being loaded with sugar, which made it especially refreshing.
The staff were super friendly and very accommodating, making the whole experience feel warm and welcoming. The restaurant is quite small, so it really feels like you’re getting a little slice of Germany in an intimate, family setting. Because there are only a few tables and it can get busy, it is definitely worth making a reservation if you plan to come during the day or at peak times; on my visit I just happened to arrive during a slower moment and grabbed the one open table.

Gaby is a wonderful business owner. We plan to done here frequently! We enjoyed everything from my first phone call to eating dinner here tonight(forgot to take a photo of our dinner but we did get dessert and our glühwein) to placing an order for apfle strudel for an upcoming event.
Thank you Gaby for being a little bit of Germany to Denver! ❤️

Make reservations! Call a few days in advance, leave a message, and they’ll call you back to confirm. It’s a small eatery with a small staff that treats you like family so they have to be ready. It’s worth the effort and the wait. The schnitzel is amazing and the other dishes are great as well.

A wonderful little place that reminds you of your grandma's house; even if you aren't German.

Super unfriendly and expensive. Whoever thinks this is 'good German food' probably has never had 'good German food'. And no: being this unfriendly isn't a German thing, she is plsin rude. Don't waste your $$.

The only thing better than Gabys deliciously authentic cooking is her charm. Warm, gracious and she makes you feel like you’re eating in your mom’s kitchen. Great place for an unpretentious and wonderful meal.
