Interesting menu. I tried the carnitas taco & nopales taco. My friend ordered the black bean dip & a nopales taco. She started with a mojito, and I started with a rum flight. Then I had a pina colada. Fabulous bartender! We had a good time. I'd like to return for more tacos!

We (3) went for a light dinner last Saturday. The very first impression I got was that the staff person that I held the front door open for was unappreciative of the effort. Overall, the staff seemed less than enthusiastic, maybe they were getting geared up for the evening rush, but subdued would probably be an overstatement. We ordered some drinks and the salsa flight, birriaqueso tacos, grilled mesa chicken tacos, and a could of happy hour tacos. Our salsa flight and meals arrived on fairly short order. When I was eating my second (maybe third?) mesa chicken taco, I noticed that the chicken was not cooked. It wasn't slightly under, it was RAW. Pretty much ended my appetite for the evening. When our server next appeared, I told her about my chicken and she related that to another worker. He may have been a manager, it was a little unclear. In any case, they certainly weren't very concerned and said they'd remove my meal from the ticket, which they did. However, they certainly said our did nothing to make me feel like this was an isolated event, or that they were going to speak to the kitchen about what happened. I left with the distinct impression that this probably happens a fair amount at this restaurant and they have adopted a laissez faire attitude toward customers that may have contracted food poisoning from eating there.

I like to start every new place with 5 stars and then remove stars as appropriate. So...-1 for how extremely loud it is. I've been to night clubs in Mexico that it was easier to have a conversation in.-1 my friend asked questions about wine. The server asked and friend ordered. Then friend changed mind and wanted a margarita. Server rolled her eyes and sighed loudly. Friend asked if there was a problem and server was irritable and made a comment about "I already added the wine." Friend felt guilty and stayed with wine.-1 None of the food had any salt. I added so much salt it wasn't ever funny and even then, it wasn't seasoned very well. They got "hot" right, but that's not even fun if it tastes like wallpaper glue. So, 2 stars and no real desire to return. There are so many amazing Latin restaurants in the Denver Metro area that I don't have time to waste on a less than awesome on.

Served my dad raw chicken. Staff didn’t seem to care besides making his tacos free. It’s a real health hazard and there was no remorse.

Quite impressed. The carnitas tacos were full of flavor. Likewise with the chowder. My only criticism is directed towards the somewhat bland beans and rice. But overall, I was quite happy with everything I had. The churros are not to be missed. Service, decor and atmosphere were on point. I'll be putting this place into my regulars.

Dad ate most of his taco and then took a bite with completely raw chicken. The meal was comped, but the staff didn't seem too concerned. We waited a long time for our check because the managers were unavailable to take the meal off of the ticket. There are plenty of other choices to go to, this place won't last long.

A+++++ experience and we will certainly go back again! The food was delicious, the ambiance perfect, the staff attentive, the music soft, artful decorating, and the seating so comfortable. With most restaurants, there is at least one thing that is annoying, maybe it is loud music so you can't carry on a conversation or the seating is uncomfortable or the staff is in a rush. Not at Mesa, it was absolutely perfect in every way!

From the moment we walked into the restaurant, we were greeted with the warmth and hospitality that felt like being welcomed into a friend’s home. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, setting the perfect stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu, a vibrant celebration of Latin cuisine, offered an array of dishes that promised an adventure for the palate. We started with a selection of appetizers that were not only beautifully presented but also bursting with flavors that were both authentic and innovative. The ceviche was a particular standout, with its perfect balance of acidity and freshness, a true testament to the chef's mastery. For our main courses, we indulged in a variety of dishes, each one a revelation. The slow-cooked meats were tender and richly seasoned, while the seafood was impeccably fresh, accompanied by sides that complemented each main dish perfectly. The attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of each dish was evident, making every bite a delight. What truly set our experience apart, however, was the service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our evening was special. Their recommendations were spot-on, reflecting a deep understanding of the menu and a genuine desire to enhance our dining experience. Their attentiveness and professionalism were unparalleled, yet they maintained a friendly and relaxed demeanor that made us feel truly at home.Pillar went above and beyond to accommodate us!To conclude our meal, we were tempted by a selection of desserts that proved to be the perfect finale to an exquisite culinary journey. The churros were sublime, a creamy, dreamy delight that left us savoring every bite.In a city brimming with dining options, this Latin restaurant shines brightly as a beacon of culinary excellence and hospitality. It's not just a meal; it's an experience—one that we will undoubtedly return to and recommend to others without hesitation. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable evening. Five stars simply don’t do justice to the amazing service and food we had the pleasure of enjoying.

Great place to eat! A little pricey but totally yummy and authentic. The guacamole is to die for.

Collectively we ordered the Peruvian Brick Chicken, the Chimchuri Skirt Steak, and the Birria Tacos. All of which were absolutely amazing, I can honestly say that this may be one of the best latin restaurants in the area. The drinks were exquisite as well with us ordering a Mojito, Smoked Old Fashion and Serrano Margarita. A perfect balance of flavors and strength can be had throughout the food and drinks. As a former Lakehouse goer, this fills the void that was left behind and then some.

The food here is so good. Our party all had different dishes and they were all amazing. The staff were on top of things too. Kept us topped off and happy. I believe I have a new favorite lunch spot.

Pretty restaurant. Service is great but unfortunately the food wasn't my cup of tea. Somehow just misses the mark. The hot spicy of everything is overpowering what flavor the food may have with what I ordered. And there wasn't a good flavor to anything. I can't explain it. The meal portion was like a child portion with all dishes we ordered so the price was too much for what you don't get. It may be for some so try for yourself. I hope they do well but we, unfortunately, won't be returning.Vegetarian options: No much option for vegetarian meals.
