Took my wife this evening for her birthday. Our server was Hope, she and all the staff were incredible and worth 10 Stars!!! My wife enjoyed the chicken dinner with steak fries and a salad. it ordered their street food hotdogs, steak fries and a salad. it was actually an incredible sausage appetizer and both meals were huge portions! we started with the Mahi Chichirrones and they were spectacular as was the tartar sauce and the sauces for the chicken. Based on the reviews, The Red Llama is an amazing Peruvian restaurant in South Denver. The food and drinks are incredible, with specific mentions of the Ceviche, chicken tamales, Lomo Saltado, Tallarin Saltado, Papa de huancaina, Anticucho, and the stuffed dulce de leche churro. The in house passionfruit and purple corn juice were astounding, and the Pisco Sour was perfection in drink form. The Lucuma ice cream was awesome. The vibe in the restaurant is immaculate and feels like Peru. The service is fantastic, with incredibly warm, inviting, and attentive staff who make customers feel at home and like family. Portions do not disappoint, and everything is prepared thoughtfully with love and care. It is a little pricey, but it is a new favorite restaurant for many, and customers are excited to come back.
