The kitchen accidentally made the wrong item, which i noticed after the second bite. I asked it to be corrected but the kitchen refused, sent the (wrong) food back out, which i did not eat, and gave me a bill for full price, 16 bucks with no drink. It was so awkward. I asked the very friendly waitress to please go ask the kitchen again if they really want to pay for the meal i didn't order or eat and they sent out a bill for 4 dollars. What is the 4$ for?? i did not want to make...read full review
We live down the street from this restaurant right after quarantine started. We got take out from here constantly. I would say twice a month. I love that they are friendly and always quick to prepare food. We are a big family and always ordered at least $100 worth of food. Sometimes it was just two people working and even then, they got our order right and fast every time! I can’t speak for their dine in experience because we always got it for take out. Bangkok89 is a cozy restaurant known for its friendly service and delicious Thai dishes. The pineapple fried rice and panang curry are highly recommended, with many customers praising the yellow curry as well. The staff is welcoming and knowledgeable, always ready to provide excellent recommendations. Although the atmosphere is described as cluttered and not very inviting, the magic from the kitchen makes up for it. The pleasant decor includes some tape-repaired booths, which some guests found uncomfortable. However, the food remains the highlight, with dishes like vegetable with chicken and spring rolls being fresh and tasty. Many diners enjoy the glass noodles alongside the pineapple fried rice. Bangkok89 is a good choice for those looking for great Thai food and supporting a local small business.
