Update: After hearing back from the owners, I realize that they are new to the business (less than 1 month) and are still learning the ropes, so to speak. I do believe in extending grace in situations like this, so I bumped the original score to 4 stars instead of 3 with the belief that the speed of service will improve over time.Original post: After reading several reviews, we decided to try this custard place.I parked near the park, so we had a 5 minute walk there. Since it is paid parking, I went to the one of the parking machines and saw you can get 30 minutes of free parking, which I selected, figuring we’d have plenty of time. When we arrived, the line was long, maybe 10-12 people. I soon realized that this line wasn’t really moving. After standing there for 20 minutes, I left my family in line, walked back to the car, drove around looking for a closer spot and got back to my family. There were still people in front of them. When we got to the window, I realized why. There was one person both taking the orders and making each item. Another person was cleaning and doing other things around the kitchen area. That person did help a little bit with our order. So how was the custard? It was good, but it didn’t stand out to me as anything special. We ordered two Turtle Splits and one custom Avalanche with cookie dough. As I said, everything was good. I’ll also add that it was a very fair price. (Note: The menu prices are cash prices; there is a small fee to use credit card.)Seating options were limited around the side of the building. When we were ready to leave, we tried to find a trash can. They didn’t have one that we could find, so we put everything in one of the public trash cans nearby. So would I recommend this place? If you like custard and don’t mind a long wait, absolutely. If there’s no wait, then definitely give it a try!

The custard at this place is no better than Good Times burger chain. They only have chocolate & vanilla custard & the person serving the custard is very rude. I will not return to Colorado Custard Company again!!!

Stopped by here on the way to Pikes Peak.Amazingly good ice cream custard here. Unique taste and not too sweet or heavy. We tried vanilla and chocolate scoops with waffle cone and loved it. Also tried their “Analanche” (Mountaineer flavor) which is like a blizzard (ice cream in a blender) and it was very refreshing. On top of all of this, everything is extremely well priced. Great value for money and really savory.Parking can be tough but if you drive around long enough, you will find one.Very highly recommended.

I had the Incline one and absolutely love it. Also got my picture taken with the legion himself. ?

Our absolute favorite place to go in Manitou. My favorite part is if you leave a tip you get a funny joke.

I love custard, and while the flavor of the chocolate custard was disappointing (and my friend thought they had accidently been given vanilla), the service was great and it was nice to have a refreshing treat.

This is a cute little walk-up shop. I love custard, and while the flavor of the chocolate custard was disappointing (and my friend thought they had accidently been given vanilla), the service was great and it was nice to have a refreshing treat. And our server made us laugh with some good jokes when we tipped her, as advertised!

Custard was good... conversation with owner was pleasant... he's a pretty big celebrity in the area as he's an accomplished runner and has won the Pikes Peak races multiple times... the shop was recommended to us by our jeep tour guide a few days prior and I would recommend as well.

CCC is a local neighborhood ice cream shop that I occasionally come to for a scoop of custard. The vanilla custard is good but the lack of customer service is a total bummer. First few visits went well until I made a seemingly harmless request that didn't go over well with the person at the counter. As a paying customer, I'm happy to pay for what I asked for because I never expect anything to be free. I asked for custard in a cup with a cone and sprinkles and was told I was "trying to circumvent one of the rules". What?!?!It's really sad that something simple like ordering ice cream becomes an unnecessary hassle for no good reason. What happened to genuine customer service where you are willing to work with your customers?Well I guess this would be my last visit. Thanks

Custard was very good, but there was only ONE person working and a very long line so it took forever to get waited on.

I ordered a custom avalanche with vanilla custard, strawberries, m&ms and chocolate chips and it was delicious on a sunny Colorado day. The wait line was pretty long but reasonable since there was only one employee running it.

Good service, tasty topping combinations, and well priced. Expect to wait a few minutes in line on weekends and possibly all the time. We ordered avalanche (frozen custard with toppings blended in) and made them volcanoes yummy ! Definitely worth the 20 min wait.

We love the custard and visit this place everytime we're in town. Friendly service and lots of great toppings.
